Jenn's Diary

I thought I checked in here yesterday, but I guess I didn't.

Anyhow.......
Things are looking up, and my attitude is improving. Haven't lost all that I gained yet, but I'm working on it. My cravings are getting better, not starving all the time. Got out for a walk yesterday, hoping to go again today. Only a little slip last night, but still stayed in my points range. I had 2 jube-jubes, and a hot chocolate/coffee. Needed the chocolate to curb my carvings. Doesn't sound bad, but I want to avoid chocolate and caffeine. I've been watching what I've been eating and it's paying off.

Yesterday:
Breakfast: green tea, oatmeal, ww toast w pb&j;
Lunch: tuna, yogurt;
Supper: lean ground beef (1c), light ricotta cheese (1c), and gravy (sounds gross but very yummy), salad.
Cheat - 2 jube-jubes, and hot choc/coffee.
Water: 104oz.

Today:
Breakfast: green tea, 2 poached eggs, 1 ww toast;
Lunch: tuna, yogurt, apple
Supper: thought I had it figured out, but apparently not!
Water:84oz and counting..........

lean ground beef (1c), light ricotta cheese (1c), and gravy (sounds gross but very yummy),
Is that italian gravy - as in tomato sauce or brown gravy?

I love ground beef and ricotta wiht some veggies and a tomato sauce - it's like lasagna wiithout the pasta :D

I'm back!!!
I have been away for far too long. But I'm am returning.... many lbs heavier, but also with a newborn (1month old). When I got pregnant I was sitting around 180. At time of delivery I was approx 240. Didn't want to gain 60lbs, same as with my first son. Oh well, life happens. I've down to 210 now. Haven't been very active since delivering, as I had a c-section and it has only been 5weeks. Starting to do a little walking. But will check w DR. next week at my 6week check up to see what I can really start to do. I hate being over 200lbs, and I hate to still have to wear my maturnity pants - I can live in my regular sweats forever!! I started back to trying weight watchers on my own Nov 1st. It's a struugle since I'm at home, and I have a 4yr old that went trick or treating. I know come the new year things will be better, with Christmas approaching. However, I am very eager to get the weight off. I would love to see the 150 mark or better by next summer.
Looking for lots of help and support!!!

Well not off to a good start! I took my 4yr old skating yesterday for about 45mins. Not a strenous workout, but still it got me moving. However, I was visiting w my mom and eat far too much - including the dreaded halloween candy. So needless to say I am up 2lbs. I'm am going to head out for a big walk today. My goal for today is to avoid hot chocolate and candy all together. Tomorrow I will try to cut out sugar - would have done that today, however I had instant Maple and Brown Sugar oatmeal for breakie.

Into every life a little sugar falls... I find it difficult to say I'm going to completely give it up - because then does that make me a failure when i have something with sugar? All you can do is the best you can do for every given meal... and make sure it's something you can live with forever... so you can get rid of those maternity pants and wear something that makes you feel good about you..

Ice skating sounds like fun - i'd break a bone for certain :) though my butt is awfully padded.. so no damage there right :) if you had fun that's an extra bonus..

Back from an hour long walk. I'd say moderate to brisk. Even my current weight and cardio ability, it was probably closer to brisk. As I sit here and log the walk, I can feel my muscles doing the twitch. I love that feeling. It let's you know things are working. I have decided that I will continue this walk (weather permitting) each day my oldest is in school - therefore 2-3 times per week. On the days he is home, we will head out for a skate or go snowshoeing (as winter will be here soon). Weekends are still to be determined. Right now we could probably go out for a walk, or he could bike and I'll walk. Once the snow is here, we will definitely take advantage and going outdoor skating or snowshoeing. Last winter my sister and I participated in the Tubbs Romp to Stomp out breast cancer. It was awesome, even though I was sick with a cold, on antibotics, had never snowshoed before, and later found out I was prego. What an awesome workout it was and for a good cause. We are definitely participating again this year, and if my oldest gets enough practice before hand, I may let him tag along. It's 5-7km, and he's only 4 (a very active 4yr old mind you!).

Thanks Mal for the advice. It's true that it will be very hard to totally limit sugar for my diet. I'll just try not to add it to my meals/snacks - ie sugar in coffee, chocolate bars, hot chocolate etc.

I did my measurements the other day, and will try to remember to bring them next time I post. I plan to measure myself the first of every month, to track my success.

Hopefully the next time I am able to post, I will have lost the 2 I gained yesterday and maybe 1 more.....

Oh yeah.... my goal for this month is to lose 5lbs (205) :hurray:

So I just finished posting this big long rant, and my page expired. Logged on and lost all of my message!!! No retyping!!

In an nut shell - got ski pass. Looking forward to snow on the hills and getting a great total body workout!

The End!

Well I haven't been able to get here as often as I would like. We have had approx 3ft of snow since last Monday. Makes it kind of hard to get out of the house. I did manage to take my son skating last week at least once. He is doing so well, I'm very proud! The good thing about all of this snow is that the ski hill is opening this weekend, and I full intent to get out Tues by my self. Depending on how sore I am after, I may take my son out later int he week. I'm really counting on the skiing to help reshape my body. I haven't been able to follow any "diet" plan. I don't want to think of myself as dieting, seeing as I am breastfeeding. But I also want to lose the weight - NOW!!! I have lost a little bit more since I was last on. And, I could potentially reach my goal for the end of Novemebr (205). I just feel like nothing is working, I can't stay focus, and the weight isn't coming off. It's depressing. I'm tired of wearing my maturnity jeans. I have fit into my "fat" pants, but even they can feel snug some days. HELP!!!!

Joined the birthday challenge today. Was looking for a December challenge, but with Xmas etc joining the bday one was more realistic for me. Adjusted my weight loss goal from 150 to 140. Works out to an average of 1.5lbs per week (till bday). Doesn't seem to far fetched - does it?? I just need to start focusing and exercising on a regular basis.

Still puttering away at the weight loss. Was out skating this morning with the boy. Haven't made it to the ski hill yet - oh well it is only the first week open. With all this snow, we have plenty of time to get there. Definitely after Xmas break we will get on to a regular ski day schedule.
