This guy I'm running the half-marathon with in May is so excited. I think he's trying to groom me to be his running buddy. That's be great, except he's like a zillion times in better shape than me. Definitely keeps me in check though knowing he's always going to be asking me how the running is going, talking about protein powders and gels and arch supports and keeping me motivated. I love it!
Damn left shin muscle got really fatigued around 1.25 miles today. Pushed anyway to 2.3 miles. Problem started yesterday running uphill fast. Not sure if this is what they call a shin splint or just a sore muscle. Anyway, gonna cross train for a few days. Gotta work harder at forcing me to pace myself and not try to build up to 3, 4, 5 miles too fast. Gonna make 3 miles a once a week long run since 2 miles is all I can right straight at a 12 min pace anyway. And add a mile of walking for warm up/cool down every workout. This dang problem ONLY happens when I run too fast, too hard and don't warm up properly.
Great on the food all week. Ate a bit of halloween candy at sis's house, but I'll cut a few calories the next few days to even it out.
Worked from 7am til 10pm and was feeling all lazy and wanted to go home.
Then I just manned up and went to the gym and ran two miles. And by then I was full of energy so I spent another 1/2 hour getting some weightlifiting in. Woo!!
