Weight-Loss January Challenge

I see that no one has started this yet, which is surprising as usually New Years Resolutions causes an influx of healthy eating challenges.

Well, I am starting this year off right. I thought about starting last Thursday the 1st, but there is just something I don't know, that is engrained within my brain that refuses to take a challenge or diet serious that starts on New Years Day. So here I am, this is the challenge.

January's Challenge is simple.
1. NO SODA'S OR FRUIT DRINKS.
2. Weigh yourself once a week.
3. Exercise at least 3X a week for 30 minutes minimum. It can be done all at one time or broken up into 3 segments of 10 minutes, once at the end of the day 30 minutes is clocked.
4. And last but not least at least 64 ounces of water daily, which is 8 eight ounces everyday.

I will give it a go.
The first 2 things shouldn't be an issue.
The exercise part should hopefully be ok
However the last part will be difficult. I tend to not drink a drop of water (or any liquid at all) from when I get up to when I get home from work or the barn (so usually not till between 4:00 and 8:00) then probably get in 4-6 glasses. I do try to remember (when I'm trying to be on track) to freeze a water bottle so I can bring it to work and have cold water the whole day, but I'm a forgetful person. I usually don't forget to bring it, but often forget to freeze it (and I hate warm water)
 
OK- I'm in too!
My weight loss goal for January is 1.5kg!
I now have to remember to come check this thread :D
 
Got in 45 mins of exercise and am on at least cup 6 of water, will likely have 2 cups at supper and maybe 1 or 2 after that so I should be golden today.

I never put my weight goals. I have them on my January weigh in challenge but I'll transfer it over here

January 2: 183.5
January 9: 177.4 (-6.1)
January 16: 177.4
January 23:174.4
January 30: 173.2

My goal will be 174 (hoping most of my initial weight is water weight)

Okay, got 3 out of 4 today. I had no soda or fruit drinks, I got in my water and I weighed myself. Here's hoping that tomorrow I get 4/4.
 
:waving: Mind if I join too? I think this is a brilliant idea by the way :) Since it's already afternoon here already, I have already had a soda or two... We went to the movies and a restaurant :( But tomorrow I'll make up for it.

I am in if I may join :)

1. Rarely drink either of those. At most a diet soda (which I know is bad for me in a different way.)
2. Will do, current weight is 210.
3. Current exercise regime runs about 45 minutes on average and 6 days a week.
4. I am awful about my liquids. Probably average 40 oz a day at best.
 
As I figured, didn't make the cut on water intake (about 50 oz) but had a good 35 minute hard run. Heading to the gym in 20 minutes :)
 
Great job.
Got everything done today. My stomach is unhappy with the amount of water chugging I am doing. It feels all sloshy in there. Did a 55 min dance workout video.
 
Oddly for the last day or so I have felt slightly dehydrated, despite an increased water intake. Made 58 minutes on a cross trainer (hill lvl 11) lots of almonds oranges and chicken today :)
 
Doing well so far on my challenge.
Moved some heavy horse jump equipment today, as well as had a long ride on my horse so I think that's my exercise in (though I would have preferred to do 'real' exercise it's hard when you only get home at 8:20 and make supper and ear at 9:00). My weigh in this week was great.
 
I have trouble remembering to come back in here, but am quietly doing this challenge. Haven't slipped yet! :D Also aiming for 1.5kg this month!

Still on target and challenge is going good, with one or two minor slip ups.
 
So still technically doing well. Yesterday I had iced tea to drink, which is TECHNICALLY ok as it's not a soda or fruit juice, however I think I just skated by on a technicality, haha. Got in 45 mins of dancing plus did some sledding. I believe I got in all my water
Today I didn't do any exercise but got in all my water.
 
Well Sunday was my one bad day since I didn't work out, still tallied 260 minutes or so in high activity for the week. Drank a good 80oz of water Sunday as well. Monday was good, 50 minutes of exercise. No juice or soda, though I had a candy bar I regretted :)
 
Got my water in. Rode my horse, about 35 mins. Carried a couple jumps out and put them away.
