Jane's Diary Hi, well where to start?

Im in my 2nd week of Optifast (drinks) and I have lost 2 kilos the first week.
I am 44 years of age, my partner & I have been together for 23 years. He loves me anyway I am, which I think is why I gained weight over the years.
He never told me I was overweight, thou I noticed my weight gain over the years.
So I got to be 93kilos, (2.2lbs = 1 kilo) and decided that was it. Im in my mid years of life, and have been quiet heavy for most of them. When my partner & I first met, I wasnt overweight at all.
So lets see where this diet will take me. My previous attempts at dieting always ends up with weight gain!!!! But somehow I feel different this time.

Hi Jane. You've really gotten off to a good start! Just keep it up and you'll shed those pounds quicker than you thought you could!
And never give up! I hear WW is the number 1 best way to loose and keep it off! As soon as I can fit it into my budget, I'm There!

Thanks for your kinds words Christina, Ive also heard WW is the best. I will eventually go on to that.
Im now in my 3rd week of Optifast, it used to be called Modifast, and Im down to 89Kilos. So from 93, to 91 & now 89 is a good start. On Sunday I had a bowl of ice cream, and was pleased to see that I still lost weight.
I weigh myself every Friday, and hopefully I will have you & all the other members here to motivate me.
Ive got a lot of reading to catch up on, as Im very interested in members diarys etc.

Thanks for asking how Im doing? I cheated on the weekend, and started again today (Monday), I feel if I fall, I must pick myself up.
Im finding it hard sometimes, but hopefully will see some development in the weeks to come.
Where abouts in Australia are you. Im in Melbourne.
 
I live on the gold coast but I come from Mudgee, about 3 hours from Sydney. I have never tried optifast; it seems to be working for you. I go to ww and love it even though I have been loosing the same 2 kg for the last 3 months lol, I think it was because I was sick for a bit and started to slack off. I have kicked myself in the butt now though and had a good week this week. I was the same as you, when I met my hubby I was a skinny little thing and never even thought about weight lol maybe I should have, then I wouldn’t have such a long slog ahead of me. Not to worry though because I really am enjoying the journey, I think im thinking of it as a bit of an experiment because im fascinated by the changes in myself and my body lol. I hope you are having a fantastic week, I hope to hear from you soon.
 
Hi Diary
This week I havnt stuck to my diet, and I feel terrible. My energy level has dropped and Im feeling very tired. It really goes to show that food plays such an important role in our health. I havnt over eaten, or gone mad on food, Ive just slacked off completely.
Im going to start again, so next week I will have a positive entry with hopefully some weight loss. The good news is I havnt gained this week.
