Jane, it's awesome you dropped the 2.4 pounds! :party: Good assessing where you need improvements to see fat loss :hurray: It's kind of a constant state of mind, actually. Well--for maximum results. I'm glad you're happy and having fun, too!

I'm trying to keep it up!! Not much to report back at the moment, have had my walk the last couple of days, and other than one naughty chocolate digestive that got the better of me :reddevil: I've eaten quite well.

AngelicaHope I don't drive out anywhere, I just walk the dog locally. We live in a fairly rural area and we are very near the sea so I usually do a round trip along the beach etc (she also gets to go in the water then) or through the fields etc.

Great start with your diary Jane!!!

Sound like (geographically) we are in a similar location. The beach is great! Both exersise for the body AND mind!

After reading through everyones comments and advice, I have little to add, other that the possibility of making yourself a 'packed lunch' for work. I seem to thrive on crispbreads and a tuna/onion/corn/litemayo mix i make that can suffice for 2 smaller sized meals. Just a thought...

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'll be popping in to check up on you ;)
 
Congrats on your weigh in!

I find my dog benefits from my weight loss attempts too. Marley is a 55-pound White Shepherd. We live really close to a river so I try to walk him there. He loves the water! Must've been a Labrador Retriver in his last life.

Anyway, good job! Can't wait to check in on your progress. :)

Yeh I will be heeding the advice about taking a packed lunch or dinner to work... I can pop a baked potato or something very simple like that in and cook it at work too which is helpful. (Thankfully I don't work full time any more and am only there a couple of days a week, so planning the meals ahead wont be as much of a fuss!)

Today's weigh-in was not so good, I'm weighing-in at 186.5lbs, only half a lb down since last week.

I knew it was coming as I had a night out on Friday with lots of naughty alcohol, but at least it's moving in the right direction, and every little helps right?

I am going to step up my game again this week though. :) Hoping to see a bigger loss again next week.
 
Yeh, I'm pleased I've been going really as I know with a change in diet alone I lose weight very very slowly. It just doesn't seem that tempting when it's so cold out!

I guess I have to apologize! I moved here in August to live with my new husband and he told me it didnt' get as cold here as it did in my native New England in America. Well, it's been a cold winter hasn't it? I keep apologizing to everyone for bringing the cold weather with me! It's just my luck! ;)

Good job with your effort so far though! :)
 
heh... =T it seems alot of us had naughty weekends... but we just have to push on through and keep working hard^^ you seem to be doing well! of course losing half a pound is alot better than gaining half a pound =P ^^ think positively!

Heya Jane. Don't knock that half pound! It's a great start in the right direction! I hear you with the alcohol LOL I wrote off my weekend at a wedding due to cursed wine. You have to treat each day at a time, forget about yesterday.... you cannot do anything about it, and tommorow does not affect you now. Today is the only day you can control.

To quote an influence in my life...
I will try and live through this day only and not tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do something today that would appal me if I felt that I had to keep it up for a lifetime

That's pretty good in the grand scheme of things. Better than + 1 pounds or 0 lost. If you lost .5 pounds each week, that's 2-3 pounds a month. Not quite ideal, but that's something you can work with and step up on.

As for the baked potato, I would recommend that you eat only half a baked potato. Chicken would be better for you- more energy that way, and less carbs.
