Jamie's Healthy BMI Countdown

Update on Evening of Friday 3/14

I have a TON of work to do this morning, so updates are gonna be short and sweet today:

Friday evening went as planned. I had the lowfat garlic chicken primavera at Friday's. It was okay....kind of oily for my tastes. Probably wouldn't order it again. It was a small portion - the whole meal was supposed to be only 500 calories - but it was more than I needed...so I didn't finish it. Eric and I stayed for a while - chatted with friends - then we went home and packed for our Pittsburgh trip. I hit the sack early---and that's it for Friday!

Saturday 3/15 Diary Entry

Saturday, Eric and I got up at 07:00 and headed to Pittsburgh to visit Eric's sister Jess. I ate breakfast at the house before we left.

Weight
165.0 (Another new low!!)

Breakfast
1 1/2 cup Raisin Nut Bran
3/4 cup skim milk

As soon as we got there, Jess and Steven (her live in BF) wanted to go eat at some fancy mall. I wanted to save calories so I had a cheat night for dinner, so I didn't order anything, but sitting there watching everyone eat was really hard. Plus, everyone kept pushing food on me, so I ate a little of Eric's meal.

Lunch
3 - 6 pieces? General Tso's Chicken & Broccoli
2 - 3 bites? of fried rice

After eating lunch, we walked around the mall a bit. Then Jess took us to where she worked and we walked a little more (not as much as I would have liked.) We went to see a movie, and then it was time for dinner. We took Jess out to the Lonestar Steakhouse for her birthday.

Dinner
1/2 spinach & artichoke dip appetizer
2 boneless, skinless BBQ chicken breasts with cheddar cheese & bacon

*I had ordered a baked potato, but did not eat it.

After dinner, I wanted dessert but the restaurant did not have any good ones. I could have stopped there, but Jess seemed really interested in getting some dessert and Eric wanted to get some beer. After a quick stop in a great local bar where everyone was celebrating St. Patrick's Day, we stopped in at Panera Bread.

Dessert
Caramel Pecan Brownie

Then, it was back to Jess's for drinking and movies.

Drinks
1 shot of tequila
1 glass orange juice

We hit the sack at about midnight, and that was really it for Saturday.

I had a good time at Jess's, but boy, it seemed like all her and Steven wanted to do was eat! Not only was this bad for my diet...it was bad for my bank account!

Sunday 3/16 Diary Entry

Like I said earlier - SUPER busy today, so this will be a SUPER quick post.

Sunday, we got up and had breakfast with Jess and Steven before we left (of course!).

Breakfast - Denny's
Two pieces wheat toast with butter/margarine? and strawberry jam
Scrambled eggs with bacon, green peppers, onions, potatoes & cheese
Hashbrown potatoes
3 Slices Bacon
2 Sausage Links

Then we drove home. As soon as we got home, I started doing laundry, housework, and balancing the checkbook. Before I knew it, it was 6PM and I was STARVING! We had no food in the house because we were gone two weekends in a row, so we ordered a pizza. While waiting for the pizza, I had a snack attack:

Snacks
3 Girl Scout Thin Mints (They're all gone - finally!)
6 pack of Lance Cheese on Wheat Crackers (one single serving pack - not 6 packs!)
2 pieces of Dove Chocolate

Dinner
Two slices of large meat pizza - thin crust with sausage, pepperoni, ham & bacon - extra cheese (although we didn't order it, but it was LOADED with cheese)

So, in summary, I BLEW IT this weekend! All that matters is I get back on that horse....

YAY on the new low's Jamie! That's so awesome and you even got to enjoy yourself! Back to reality and back on track right? That's what I'm trying to do.

Hubby and I were terrible at the grocery store this time. We bought ice cream. YIKES! So, I'm trying not to eat the whole container =)

HOpe you are doing well, and having a great day!

Your weight will probably be up due to sodium and stuff for a few days, so don't get too bummed out. Just keep doing your exercise and stuff!

Thanks!! You sent me the skinny vibes...and they worked!

Back to reality and back on track is right...I need to get back on that track and stay there. I got back on last week after my weekend out of town just to fall back off schedule again for the weekend. It was just two out of town weekends (and lots of eating out) in a row that killed me. I will be back to normal this week...thank goodness! Since I'm cooking Easter dinner and can control what I eat that day, I should be fully back on schedule this week.

My weight was up...way up this morning. 168.6. Up 3.6 lbs! Oh well...like you said...it's probably mostly sodium...and T.O.M. is lurking so I'm sure some of that is bloat too. Nothing to get excited about. Just have to get to work right away like you said!

Hey Jamie. I'm missing you girl. I hope all is well in PA and your Easter dinner with the family goes well.

Come back soon and tell us all about your visit and running program. I'm feeling a lot like I'm starting to slack on the running and stuff. I'm starting w4 D1 today, and it is going to be tough, but I can't wait. I just hope my shins are up for it.

Hope to see you back soon.

Tasha
