Quick update on weight / stats.
After just over a month on the meds, I am still thankfully new injury free (I'm still dealing with the irritated bad shoulder, but that was already there). After tearing my hamstring back in December, and the inability to do any real cardio to speak of, and the idea that Rugby was out for another year, which resulted in a second push to bulk, I was at ~335-340 depending on weighing time, and inbetween a size 42 and 44 pants (inconsistencies between vendor sizes).
Various weights of the week before I started the meds for comparison (for my own benefit more than anyone else's... these aren't maxes, but what I was comfortably doing without wanting to die the next day):
Bench - 315 - 8/8/5
Squat - 455 - 6/6/5
DB Military - 110's - 8/6
Hammer Row - 360 -8/8/8
This week's numbers look like the following:
Bench - 275 - 10/10 (no spotter, so a worthless comparison... and after DB Military)
Squat - 405 - 6/5/4
DB Military - 100's - 8/8/5 (again, no spotter... the guy has been a bum recently)
Hammer row - 360 - 6/6/6/6
Over 20" in college, my arms this morning weighed in at 19.5". They had dipped under 20 a while ago, but I had since brought 'em back over what is globally considered the "Huge" litmus test marker. Aside from the superficial fat, there was never any real fat anywhere on my arm, and when I would flex, it is hard for the entire circumference of the arm. I just did my pull day today, and am sadly going to be THAT guy and go home and remeasure in the hopes that I can still claim 20" arms. I haven't remeasured my chest in a LONG time since I hit 60"... it's such an impressive number that I am probably just going to claim it till the day I die.
As of today, I am 309 lbs. I broke out my old size 40 shorts 'cause the 44's were so big that I had to fold them under my belt (which I am on the last notch of), which I haven't been able to fit into since early in my college career, but that I never threw away "Just 'Cause," and they fit perfectly. As a comparison, my buddy who is 220lbs wears a size 40/32 pants, so I really don't expect that number to shrink any more without losing an asston of strength in my legs.
While I am on the topic of pant sizes, why do they have to vary so greatly inbetween vendors? Why is a size 40 waist not a set size? That shit always bothered me.
I'm getting better at dealing with it all. I still have a problem with habit eating, 'though it isn't as bad as before. When out someplace, I'm already starting to adjust the amount of food I'm ordering. If I try to go with the old standby of appetizer for the table and full meal, I'll be bent over the toilet in an hour 'cause I just can't fit that much anymore. 'Cause I'm never really hungry anymore, I have been going to the grocery store FAR less, which has sadly resulted in me hitting up fast food on occasion. That NEVER ends well now. I order portions like I used to, and get sick. I had so many bad habits (not even pertaining to food) that the meds have highlighted that changing them all, and getting them aligned with my new focus is a much longer process than anticipated.
