Jaclyn's diary

Funkymonk...I am in school too and work and kinda broke right now...I am broke what I do is go to wendys with the $2 or $3 I may have and get baked potatoes, small chilli and side salad...It comes out to $3.15. The best $3.15 every spent and you become full from that meal. It is on the 99 cent menu.

Hmm, thanks Totallyscrappy, that sounds pretty cool. Yeah, the healthy food bill kicks my butt, but I know it will be worth it in the end. Can't wait for payday!

For my late night snack I had an orange. Florida navel. Very good.

Breakfast:
1 bowl Maple and Brown Sugar oatmeal(already flavored, I didn't add anything, 160 cals)
Small glass of Cran-cherry juice.

Hey hottopic, yeah, I'm not always broke because I work a lot, but since Christmas just passed and I paid my rent in addition to my huge grocery bill, I ran really low on cash. The Wendys menu is good, although I don't eat chili because it has meat in it. But a salad and baked potato is enough to fill me up anyway. Publix subs are good too, on whole wheat bread, only like $4 and they stuff those things full of veggies! Anyway, thanks for the suggestion! What school do you go to?

Wow, I had a long day at school and never got time today to write about what I've eaten past breakfast!

Lunch:
I made a Chik wrap using a whole wheat tortilla, a spread of honey mustard, spinach leaves, tomato slices and a sliced Parmesan Ranch Chik Patty. It was really tasty.
Diet Rite.

Snack:
A few dried apple rings and apricots.

Dinner:--Went out for Japanese food.
Miso soup
Salad with asian ginger dressing
Veggie sushi, which had cucumber, avacado, asparagus, carrot, and two asian vegetables I've never heard of. It was all really really good.

I have a pounding headache right now. I also stepped on the scale and it looks like I've only lost one pound which is disappointing considering how good I've been doing, but I know it comes off slowly at first and that's the healthiest way to lose it.

Ugh, I'm really sick...

I was fine all day at school on Thursday and then when I got home I started feeling kind of weird. I had a really bad headache and my throat kind of hurt. So when I woke up on Friday I felt terrible. I tried to go to work, but after two hours I left and went to the clinic at school. They said it looks like a virus, but I might try to go see someone else. I didn't eat much yesterday because I felt so crappy:

Breakfast:
Bran Chex with blueberries and soymilk
Small glass of cran-cherry juice

Lunch:
2 slices whole wheat bread and 3 slices of Veggie salami (I think each slice has 30 cals)
Diet Pink Lemonade Snapple (20 cals)

I slept from 7pm to 10:30 then I got up and had a cup of strawberries, then I went back to bed.

I just woke up around 9am and had a glass of gatorade.

Had some apricots and a big glass of cran-cherry. I'm going to eat some toast with apricot jam. I feel awful. I went back to the doctor and they said it looks like the flu. They told me to drink juice and gatorade, which is filled with sugar, but I don't care right now because I feel so terrible. Thanks newbride, I appreciate your well wishes!

Thanks rosered, I hope so too, because this sucks.

I had some vegetable soup and I've already gone through one bottle of gatorade and started on another one. I also had a can of light lemonade. I've just been laying around watching tv and reading. I feel awful.

In the days I've been sick I've had four bottles of gatorade, two bowls of vegetable soup, and 4 slices of toast. This is over the course of three days. Oh, and I had a few bites of cantulope and honeydew, but I can't taste anything so I stopped eating it because I didn't want to waste delicious fruit if I couldn't taste it.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate it. I feel like it's never going to go away. I'm on my fifth bottle of gatorade. I can't taste anything, but I know I need to eat. I'll probably have some toast in a little while.

I had another bowl of vegetable soup, a sugar free fudgsicle (35 calories) and more gatorade. Oh, and I had a piece of bread with my soup. I'll weigh myself when this is all over, see if it's done any damage, but I don't think it has. I feel terrible, so I'm going back to bed.

I'm starting to feel a tiny bit better, but I still feel crappy. Figured I better start eating and using my diary regularly again though.

When I woke up I had a few chunks of pineapple, watermelon, honeydew, and a few grapes. It filled up a small bowl. Then after a little while I made some egg beaters and two slices of veggie bacon and a small glass of orange juice. Oh man! And when I went to the doctor the other day they weighed me and I told them not to tell me what it was because if I gained I didn't want to know, but then when the nurse was typing it into the computer I glanced over and I saw it and it was 25 pounds less than my scale at home was saying! My scale has been saying 240, but the nurse's scale said 216, which seems much more realistic. I knew it wasn't possible that I had gained 30 pounds and still fit into all of my clothes. So I guess my scale is broken. I have to get a new one. Okay, I'm starting to get dizzy, so I'm going to go lay down.

Ha, yeah it was really good news. I knew something must be wrong with that scale. Anyway, starting to feel a bit better. I had vegetable soup for lunch and then a Lean Cuisine pizza for dinner. I also had a sugar free fudgsicle. I'm still drinking gatorade, as it's the only thing that feels really good on my throat.
