Jacklinger's Food Journal

I'm here to get inspiration from other people's stories and have found an abundance of that, while sharing my own experiences. If I am violating some rule or code of conduct, it's not my intention to do so. I suppose I could just lie about what I'm eating but I would only be lying to myself. Don't you want me to be honest about what I eat? Why else would there be a reason to keep a diet journal if I didn't write down everything I had, good or bad?

Ok, I came off the wrong way. Part is out of frustration because I actually worry about your future.

But you have the right to eat anything you want and post all you want long as you don't break forum rules. You haven't. I don't agree one bit with your diet but I wish you luck.

That all looks really good, except for the tuna, don't like tuna. Now if only I could get someone to bring it to me while I'm working at my desk hehe.

Today I ate:

half a bagel w/ a smattering of cream cheese ~250 cal
1 snickers bar - 271 cal
1 cashew chicken lunch from a takeout place ~700 (coz I didn't finish it)
4 mini bananas (those things sure are good) - 220 cal
my usual 5 cups of coffee - 150 cal

walked for 1.5 hours
lifted weights for 15 min

I'm kind of sore now.

6/3/10

Turkey sandwich ~450cal
Snickers bar - 271 cal
6 cups of coffee - 180 cal
bow of rice and chicken ~600 cal

6/4/10

today I ate:

1 turkey sandwich - ~600 cal
1 slice of banana bread - ~200 cal

6 cups of coffee 180 cal

1.3 hours of walking

at first I was thinking that I should find another forum to motivate me because of all the threads I've seen where people have jumped on 1 person for doing something the way they wanna do it.

But I like this forum and I understand that thats how ya keep people motivated. lol like celebrity boot camp (VH1). You push and push until someone shuts-up and listens or they just give up and leave.

But anyways- Goodluck Jacklinger, I hope you reach your goal weight!

Thanks Deanna! :)

On 6/5/10 I ate:

Big plate of food from some restaurant that my dad and I went to. It was a buffet and the food was pretty good. I had fried fish, mashed potatoes, veggie enchiladas, and I sampled every cake that was on the desert buffet (they all sucked). Total calories: no idea - probably around 2100. I felt pretty darn full afterwards. Could have been as much as 3000 I guess.

I walked for 30 min and did a high-impact elliptical session for 30 min.

I lost 1 pound that day.

On 6/6/10 I ate:

4 donuts and coffee with lots of cream - ~900 cal
Half a burger and french fries - ~500 cal

Walked 10 miles, because when I got back home from my walk to get the donuts, I Googled the store I wanted to go to buy a frame and it turns out the place was right next to the donut shop (d'oh) so I had to walk back and I took a detour to the grocery store to buy some cleaning wipes and it turned out to be 10 miles total when I finally got back home.

Lost another pound that day.

2 pounds in 2 days isn't too shabby. But I doubt it was all fat. It was probably at least half water weight. But at least I got to see the scales go down.

while I competely disagree with a lot of what you are doing..it seems to be working for you Jack. So, instead of getting on your case about your choices, I'm going to praise you for what you have been doing. The scale is going down and that is a good thing.

Thanks Jericho ^_^

Yep the scales are going down, just not very fast.

Today 6/7/10 I ate:

1 snickers bar: 217 cal
1 turkey sammich: ~500 cal
1 bowl of noodles w/ veggies added: ~500 cal
4 cups of coffee: ~120 cal

1.5 hours of walking

didn't eat much meat today, hoping that's ok as I'm accustomed to getting a good amount of protein every day

I think it's better to lose weight slowly. All the people I know that dropped weight fast ended up with sagging skin and the people I know that have lost weight slowly have tighter skin.

Umm.... it's a bit late to avoid the sagging skin problem. My doctor said I might be able to donate it and maybe that would help pay for the surgery to remove it.

While I too do not fully agree with your choices I find your diary fascinating and plan to follow your progress. Don't let anybody get you down, if you're happy and it's working for you, why not? Good luck! :)

Ok havent posted in a while, heres some things I ate over the past few days:

donuts
coffee
snickers
more coffee
pizza
more coffee
had a hamburger somewhere I think but maybe not, I usually always get a burger at least once a week so it's likely I got one
had some cereal, Captain Crunch I think
several turkey sandwiches, with mayo, very tasty

and for exercise I walked a whole lot and lifted weights

lost 3 pounds in that time yay me

Hey thanks for the support Lzycat! Maybe I should put a warning label on my diary? *WARNING - This thread contains substances know to cause fat*

So I'm back from my really long wonderful vacation. I ate tons of food like pizza, burgers, fries, pastries and candies. But I was able to control the portion size so now I'm down to 208. I'm really close to my GW aren't I? What will I do when I hit it?

202, 2 more pounds to go. Gosh its taking way too long. I think I'll restrict this weekend instead of allowing myself to eat normal like usual.
