Can't you get voted off that island ?? just askin'

Well, if I got arrested for, say, a felony I could get shipped to anchorage pre-trial to await my hearing since our jail is for "short stays" and we only have three cells...but I don't have any good felonius acts premeditated thus far...and I hear the food and atmosphere at anchorage pre-trial sucks.

Alright, everybody not privvey to the secret stop reading here:
I baste my turkey with a mix of 1 cup honey and 1/2 a frozen orange juice concentrate (don't dilute) and I add my secret blend of spices to it (damiana, parsley, basil and a lil' bit of cinnamon). To get the honey flowing and the juice thawed I heat it on low heat and add the herbs and spices to infuse in the mix for about 20 minutes...on REALLY low heat. Then I prepare the turkey as recommended, not stuffing it (stuffing drys it out). I usually use a 12-14 lbs turkey but I have a small family. I cook it for about 3.5 hours, maybe a teeny tiny bit longer if its not done on 325 degrees. I start with the turkey pan covered with its lid and I don't remove the lid till the last 45 minutes. Bast it about every 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. If its not done in 3.5 hours and the top is starting to get too brown re-cover the pan and cook a bit longer.

Mmm.. turkey... *drools all over Iwan's floor*
*gets mop, sops up drool, puts out "caution wet floor" sign*

:D Good afternoon "IWAN",
Thanks for sharing I jotted it down and I am going
to go hunt for an unfrozen turkey because I am not sure if
17lbs will thaw by Thursday? But your recipies sounds yummy
I like the honey sweet taste when I buy turkey lunchmeat it
has to be honey roasted!
Well I hope you have a gr8 Monday Tammy:)

Well, really, if you put it in the fridge now and its not thawed by wednesday night you could put it in a sink full of cold water overnight to finish the job.

I just revisited my diet goals on spark, thanks to the fact that my busy work schedule is going to get busier and my torn rotator cuff that will need surgery to correct, cardio has been out for a few weeks and will continue to stay out. So without cardio I have to keep it under 1400 cals a day for sure, closer to 1200 cals a day. I crunched some numbers, I'm down 27 lbs in 8 weeks, thats 3.37 lbs a week. if I keep it up by new years day I'll be at my pre pregnancy weight of 180...if I keep it up. It is my intention to keep it up but sometimes life steps in and makes changes to my plans for me.

So at the 11am shift change and debriefing I got sent home. I SWEAR my eyes where clear when I left for work this morning but now they are all red and itchy again. But whatever, I can work from here too. And I have a dentists appointment at 2 to have a crown put on and that'll be the last ugly filling gone from my mouth. It will look like I've never had any work done when I finish today. It's like having a whole new mouth.
I'm tooth vain, I know.

so far today:
breakfast:
nonfat milk 8 oz (86)
espresso 50 grams (1)

lunch:
1/2 cup cottage cheese (120)
50 grams turkey dark meat (94)
50 grams turkey white meat (79)

total so far: 379
I anticipate a late dinner, after my visine goes to work I'm outta here to conduct a few interviews before the dentists appoint and then back to the office to make phone calls and follow up with some stuff. The boss should be gone by 4 so I don't think I'll get kicked outta the office again.

Hi, you are doing great, 27 lbs gone foever, never to return!!!! Hurray for you. I like that you log all your calories...hummm great idea.. well hope all goes well at the dentist office. ck on you tonite

An avatar worth xo'n - so cute
*blushes*

I got sent home from the dentist. He wouldn't work on me...obviously my eyes are still red and watering. I tried!

now I'm moping and baking butternut squash. I had to put my appointment off till JANUARY! thank goodness its only cosmetic and I'm not in any sort of pain. How many calories do you think it'll burn to get down on my hands and knees and scrub my floors with a magic eraser? I wonder if I can find that calculated somewhere by square footage....*goes off to google it*

I made it to 1200 cals today, a little over but I got there in a very shameful way that involved corn dogs and french fries and real mayo...and katchup. There was a salad in there...I promise.

Anyways, now that that is behind me...it wasn't even that good *pouts* I'm due for a pampering night. I'm off to the princess suite (what I call my master bed and bath) to lay in a hot bubbly whirlpool tub and use my body shop peel off masque that I am addicted to. I may even shave my legs....maybe.
