I have not been to the gym in 3 weeks due to finals and vacation. the good news is i have been doing minor things at home, pushups, ab & back work with ball, pilates, and ballet....tomorrow i'll be back at the gym... oh boy.... i'm kinna scared though this is my longest break, any suggestions y'all have send them my way please!!!

are you kidding me I have to go back in order to keep my sanity!!!! i've been going crazy the last few weeks and my brain can't take it anymore... :D  :D

just go easy on the weights. Dont try to use the same weight where you left off right away!
Push yourself with the aerobics though. Although it may be harder than when you left, you'll be ok. With the weights, you could hurt yourself!

LOL.Spending time in most commercial gyms would CAUSE me to go insane. While waiting the 20 minutes it takes the guy in the squat rack to finish his 10 sets of curls I am verbally assaulted by the guy who has the leg press machine fully loaded and uses no more than a 6 inch range of motion but screams like someone is stepping on his testicles. In between his screaming sessions the speakers are blaring the Backstreet Boys or Justin Timberlake crying about the girl who got away.Insanity IS the typical commercial gym.Give me my basement set-up with real music any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

On a more serious note, Wes gave some good advice.Gradually get back into the weights.Three weeks won't have set you back too far.It might have even done you some good to ratchet the intensity down a bit.Good luck.

Remind me to stay as far away from your gym as possible... (eek) :D

I know the feeling myself. I'm in between 3 projects and I've been to the gym twice in the last 3 weeks. It's driving me up the walls!

Things went well last night, I jogged to the gym, did light weights for the legs, then took a hip hop dance class as cardio. I took it pretty easy but not to easy, if you know what i mean. I have a wedding to attend in 2 weeks, and I am loving the shape of my arms at the moment. I dont want to bulk them up any right now, because of the dress i'm wearing to the wedding. I have not done any weight training for my arms in the past 3 weeks either. I've been doing pushups every night before my shower, and now my arms look tone and sexy, very nice i'm loving it. The tan from vacation helps too. Anyways back to the gym I go saturday morning.

Ballast- commerical gym doesn't bug me, i am very good at ignoring things and tuning noise out.
