It's time

hey all.

I have been lurking around on this site for a few days and have become motivated to really make a change. I am a teenager and have been overweight(since I was 9 maybe?) but it's really been getting to me lately, as I am surrounded by skinny people! I am a dancer and my weight is becoming more and more noticable in the less forgiving outfits... leotards.. :/ anyways I have been a yoyo. I made a lifestyle change and succeeded but went right back to my old ways!! Ughhhh. I am 5 foot 3 inches and 148.5 pounds.. I probably should

weight around 115, 120..but it's hard to tell. RIght now my goal is to lose 25 pounds, but it could become more. i'll post pictures later. I am ready to do this.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your decision to take control of your life. Teenager or old woman like me (51, 5'7 started at 269 currently at about 207 on my way to 150), I think you'll find that we all want to lose weight...that's why we're here...to share our experience, strength and hope with each other, hopefully giving a little encouragement along the way.

As you know, making the decision to change is 1/2 the battle. I look forward to following your posts!
