Hello everyone,

I figure I'm going to start a diary because it might just help me along the way.
I'm 25 years old and a sahm to two kids. My daughter is 2 years old and my son will be one on sept 29th. As you can see I had my kids really close together and didn't lose the baby weight from the first one before I got pregnant with the second one.

I'm only 5' tall and used to weight 112 pounds. My mom got cancer in 2006 and passed away a month before my wedding. I ended up being 140 pounds at my wedding. After that I gained another 15 pounds and then found out I was pregnant with my daughter and now 2 years later here I am, very unhealthy and very unhappy.

I started this "lifestyle change" ( diets never worked for me ) on sept 11 2010. I started at 178lbs and am now sitting at 170lbs. I've been walking around 5 miles everyday and doing yoga and strength training on my wii fit.

Hope to meet some nice people here and help each other stay on track.

Oh I tried ordering a weighted hula hoop yesterday as well but my computer was acting up, so I'll be trying to get that again soon. A girl who had a baby the same time I had my daughter said that's what she used to get her belly back. Let's hope it works :)

Well I completely missed lunch today and the workout I was going to do this afternoon because my dad and my uncle that I haven't seen in over a year stopped by. So it was worth missing the workout and I guess the missing lunch kinda evens it out even thought it's not a great idea.

I've gotten one kiddie to bed and once the other one goes down i think i'm going to try and do some yoga on the wii.

Good morning all

I'm excited today because I am no longer in the 170s!!!!!!! yay, I really hope to never ever see that number again. Good bye 170, I will not miss you.

So my husband decided that is it time that he gets his butt moving as well and we he got home from work this morning spent an hour on the wii. He was sweating. I kinda think he sees i'm serious about this and doesn't want me to get fit while he stays the same. So when he went to bed I got my butt on there and did 2 miles and a bit of strength training. I'll definitely do more today yet.

That's all for now :)

Hi! Congratulations for getting out of the 170s!!!! Just wondered what "games" you used for the wii, thinking iof getting some, but not sure what to get. We have wii sports, its the closest I get to playing tennis these days but other than that we have "game games" not workpout games.

I've been using the wii fit balance board, mainly the yoga, strength training and step aerobics. It's lots of fun so I don't mind doing it at all.

I do hula hooping and it is great core strengthening. I do an hr class on Friday's but during the week I pick it up and do 8 min cycles; 4 mins in each direction. My older kids are even in on the fun and pick it up just because. I've gotten to the point where I can walk forward/backward/sideways and pull up my heels and add a bounce. Who knows maybe evidentually I'll be walking around the kitchen making dinner with it swinging around me, haha! Good luck.

It is great for the core, I can't wait to get my weighted hoop and see if it makes a difference. That is so awesome that you are getting so good at it, I'm not there yet lol

Good morning everyone,

Today has been good so far, I know it's still morning but it's still been good. So far I've gotten in an hour workout :) and had my smoothie this morning.

I'll be checking back in later

hello, good luck with meeting your targets. good progress so far to already be in 160s. keep it up :) i read your answers to that questionnaire thing you filled out, really honest answers and i feel the same way in many cases!

So I was pretty busy today and completely missed lunch, so I just had a small piece of lasagna. I hope it doesn't screw me up. :)

Well I'm down to 168.4 today yay

I had to take my husband into town and drop him off this morning, and I stopped at tim hortons. When I got home i wanted to see if I could find out how many calories were in the double double I just had. I found a great site that tells me all the info for tim hortons. I'm surprised how many calories and fat are in there DDs. I'll be watching how much I go there now that's for sure. For a large it's 230 calories and 12g of fat :ack2:
