It's ON now!

A better week than I anticipated

This week I got back on the exercise train (never got off, just slowed down) and I can tell the difference. On difference is I'm having to work harder to get my heart rate up, and I suppose that's a good thing. Since I started I've taken the stairs up to my floor (4th) at work every day, and I'm doing much better on what I'm eating.

Now for the best part...I weighed today (I didn't figure a day early would hurt) and I've lost 16 more pounds, giving me a total of 45 since first of the year, and 29 since I got serious the first of last month. I couldn't believe it when I got on the scale today...I even had my wife weigh herself to make sure it was working properly.

I'm really starting to be able to tell the difference in my clothes now, and I'm able to see a difference. I know I won't be able to maintain this rate of loss, but I'll take it while I can get it!

Hooray for me :willy_nilly::hurray::biggrinjester:

My biggest challenge yet...

and I prevailed:party:

Thursday we went to Walt Disney World to spend 3 days and 2 nights for my wife's birthday and my niece's graduation. I knew I was in for a fight. It was actually easier than I thought it would be.

Thursday we went over, spent all day in one park then went back to the hotel. While my wife & niece took a nap, I went to the gym at the hotel and did my daily workout. I was quite proud of myself. That evening we went to another park but I was dragging. Still, I felt good about the day.

Friday we went out and did a lot of shopping, then rented a boat, then went to the pool, then goofed off some more. I had to push myself hard because I really didn't want to go, but about 10pm I went to the gym and did my walk. I felt better after I was done just knowing I'd done it.

Saturday we came home and had a full day but I still managed to get a workout in.

Overall I'm quite pleased with how I did. I kept up my exercise, and when it came to eating I made the best choices that I could from what was offered. The only time I really screwed up was that we bought some fudge at a shop there, and it comes 6 pieces to a box. Each piece is about 2" square by 1" thick. I picked two, my wife picked two and my niece picked two. When we got back to the room I ate all of one of mine (I'd never had Pina Colada fudge before, but it was the bomb!). I had a couple of other bites here and there but that was it and we gave most of it away.

Overall I'd give myself an A- for the week. I'd have given myself and A+ if it wasn't for that stupid fudge :banghead:
