Like many, I decided to lose some weight with the new year. I lost 25 and kept it off for about 4 months, and decided to go for another 10.

The first week, i was so excited to get on the scale because I was so good about eating 1200-1500 cals. I went to the gym 3 times, burning 400 cals each sesh.

I lost 1 pound. Actually, tuesday i was 145, thur, 144 and tuesday (my regular weigh day) I was still 144, so i didn't lose any weight in 5 days.

This week I made some changes. Usually I drink a glass or 2 of wine a few times a week with dinner... and include it with my cal intake, but this week I cut it out of my diet. WEnt to the gym... so far on Tue, and thurs. last 3 days I didn't eat more than 1300 cals. Now I have the weekend ahead of me.

Tomorrow will be hard because I'm going to a party to watch the UFC and then we are going out for karaoke... so I'm going to try to make good choices.
 
Hey girl!! I'm wondering if you aren't getting enough cals. What are you using to track your intake???

I use fitday.com, you might check it out and find that you need more calories than you are getting espeically if you are burning 400+ at the gym.

I was doing weight watchers about 6 months ago and was starving all the time.. I finally decided to change to couting cals and found I was only getting about 1000 cals when I should have been getting 1700+ depending on how much I was exercising... and once I changed the weight just starting FALLING off seemingly. 1300 to me is a pretty low number your body might be holding on to everything it gets!

I'm glad you started a diary... we can get to 135 together in NO TIME!!!!
 
Only 10 lb? Good for you! You can do that. I have heard that the best way to get that last 10 off if through execise more than diet. Congrats for keeping it off!
 
Hi! :iagree:with Miss Dfitt above. My own weight loss stalled and then stopped as a result of not getting in enough calories! Make sure that you are, especially now that you are working out regularly at the gym.

I, too, am aiming for the last few pouns (about 15). Best wishes on your journey!

I am a long way from my goal weight so can't offer any advice on that one but good luck with it and congrats on what you've lost already. =)
 
I can't get here every day because I work almost every day... but it made me so happy to see so many posts on my diary! I wasn't expecting anyone to visit!

Yes, 10 pounds is not much... I am 5'9 so 135... I think is good, glad to see some people in the same boat as me!

So remember how I was complaining that I didn't lose any weight, or like a pound or whatever, and that was tuesday... will on Thursday I had lost 3. So that's it, no more complaining about what the scale says, your body just kind of does what it does.

I have still been eating right around 1200... I know I should eat more when I'm working out but I get so nervous doing it. I have been used to eating the same amount for several months, but I used to drink wine several days a week too...

I did get the the gym on Thursday, even though I really didn't want to. Was busy working this weekend, I work at a restaurant on weekends and a hospital during the week... weekends stress me out cuz i hate that job. But I got my butt to the gym on Saturday and then I went out to a friends house to watch the UFC fight and I ate:

Evil spinich dip with bread
turkey, salami, cheese
1 slice of pizza
whole bottle of champaine

So I felt pretty bad about that. Didn't feel like going to the gym on sunday either, but I had to close the restaurant and it kicked my butt. I came home and passed out with in 15 mins of getting home and I didn't eat so yesterday I had about 600 or 700, naughty
 
It's been 2 weeks and I'm down 2 pounds. woo hoo.

I guess it doesn't surprise me. Like I said, I ate like crap on Saturday. One of my big downfalls is not getting to the gym on days that I work at the restaurant. I pretty much hate doing anything in the mornings. During the week when I work at the hospital, I love to work out afterwards. Monday I slept almost all day, it was weird. So although that job is super fast paced, I probably don't burn as many calories on those days that I sleep in and veg out.

I packed my gym stuff today but my boyfriend has hurt his back... is pretty much dysfunctional right now so I came home to tend to him. Promised myself I would go tomorrow but we will see... it's hard not to want to be there to help the ones I love when they really need someone. But he is pretty cranky...
 
Week went well. On Tuesday after all the complaining about only losing a pound I binged on salami and cheese right before bed. ITs not the worst thing, but I didn't work out that day and it put me at around 1800 cals.

On Wednesday I had this big piece of coffee cake and it was the best sweet thing I have had in a long time, but I was so mad at myself I didn't eat until dinner and all I had was a can of soup. It wasn't until the next day I added up my caloried for that day and I only ate 1100...oops... I worked out that day too. I decided I was going to start conditioning myself to jog. In high school it was hard, I haven't done it since... I jogged for 5 minutes 4 different times out of the hour and it was hard, made me feel like I was in really poor shape. But I burned 460 cals.

Yesterday was a good day at the gym, I was doing 5 minutes of running and the last stretch I ran for 10, It felt really good to do it but today my ancles/feet are super sore and I have to waitress tonight... I didn't do it this morning because I felt like I over did it. Guess I need to stretch more and maybe get some more appropriate shoes? I burned 480 cals and ate 1250.

Boyfriend is on day 5 of the flu, even went to the doctors today cuz he thought he was dieing and she told him a bad string of flu is going around putting people out for a week or so. Now I have been bragging for years I'm immune to it, so fingers crossed I don't get this.
 
Flu is going around down here in Texas too. I have dodged it so far. Keep pluggin away! You are keeping it going
