So its been awhile sense I have been on here. Last time I came on, not one single person talked to me, and it really kinda bummed me out. But anyways, I woke up this morning, and for some reason, I had this horrable feeling come over me. I am so fat! I felt SO horrable. I took a shower, got out, and looked at myself in the mirror and started crying. I don't know whats going on with me. I haven't been happy with my body in a very long time. And all of a sudden, I realized I really hate everything about my body. I've even gained more weight than I thought. I am at 225!!!! I have NEVER been this big! And it is killing me! I talked to my husband about it, and he told me i'm acting crazy, he tells me I look great and leave it alone. I know, i'm very happy it doesn't bother him. But I wish he would help me more, he is a small musc. man and can eat anything his heart desires and make it impossable for me to eat health! At all! I can't keep going on like this, I just don't know what else to do and I need so much help! So please, HELP!

YAY! You better stick with it this time, chica! :) Just start reading everyones diaries, leaving good comments, join one or two of the challenges(theres a lot of good ones) and you'll have SHIT tons of peeps in here.

I know theres a post somewhere on here about the tickers... but I can't find it. Someones gotta know how to do it!

Hey girly,
Don't be down on yourself. Luckily weight is something about ourselves that we can change. Its you that is living in your body, if your uncomfortable in it then lets start changing it. We are about the same weight so if you would like some friendly competition and support we can do this TOGETHER! What are your plans so far? As in diet and exercise? Tell me alittle bit about yourself. My name is Ashley, I am 22, I live in WI and weigh 222. http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weight-loss-diary/25467-if-you-fail-try-again.html thats a link to my diary if you'd like to drop by.

As for tickers I use myfitnesspal.com or alot of people use tickerfactory.com.
Lets get this started! You have no idea how good you will start to feel once you fully commit yourself to this, you said you did it before so you know the dedication it takes. Like my diary's title says... "If You Fail, Try Again"
Have a good night,
~Ashley~

You sound like someone who speaks her mind... I like you already. I wasn't here when you were on before, but I am now and I'll talk to ya!! I see you got the ticker thing worked out.

I'll be around to check in you (I mean not like a stalker or anything but...)

Soooo, just got done at the gym... hope that when you get up for work you don't have 99missed texts from me... thats so weird! I wonder why it was doing it. Anyways, have a great day, eat a salad :D

Ok based off of what you wrote on my page lets start making a plan...
Wow 4 kids! Thats a lot of running around!! :)

Ok so you have a desk job for 8 hours a day.... Lets start packing meals and snacks to take to work. Instead of snacking on peanut m&ms (the best kind of m&m by the way!) how about bringing fruit, veggies, 100 cal packs, ect. Lunches can be salads, wraps, sandwiches ect...tons of options here! Do you have access to a fridge at work where you could possibly keep lunches and such?
Also water water water. It is your best friend. If the taste of water starts to get blah, they have some great flavored ones or crystal light packets that you can mix in. For some flavored waters though check the calories and stuff, sometimes that flavoring probably is high sugar so just watch that.

Subway is also a great place to go but they have bad for you stuff too. So make sure you chose an under 6g fat sub, no cheese, LIGHT ON THE SAUCES! I dont even get sauce on mine when I go there cuz even if I say light mayo they put like 1/2 c on there and you cant measure how much they truly squirt on there. So I just put my own sauce, if any on at home.

What are we doing for groceries though? Is this also being changed? With kids I understand how hard it is when they all want something different but kids learn from their parents and this could teach them how to make good food choices as well.

You said "And the worst part, alot of it is muscule. Which is ten times harder to lose!" In no way should you be wanting to lose muscle mass. Muscle burns fat. Period. Muscle is good.

What are you doing as far as working out? Now I'm not saying you have to go to the gym, which is an option. You can get the family into going for a walk everynight after dinner, bike ride, buy a wii fitness or just going for a walk yourself and set goals for yourself. Today I will walk 2 blocks, today I will walk 6 blocks ect. Do you have a dog you can walk with?

It sucks that you have no one to do this with, but have you truly searched for a weightloss buddy? Maybe a girl you work with might be looking to do the same thing and then you can get a group together like I did. I know it may be embarassing at first to ask around, which is why I brought it up to my co-manager when only her and I were in the building. But after I got her support and she was on board I started asking around cuz theres more people than you know that are unhappy with their weight. Theres people who arent even involved with the group who are coming up to me high fiving me going "Hey! I heard you won this week and lost 8 lbs! 8 LBS! AWESOME GIRL! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!" I mean its like a high for everyone to be so supportive of this.

ok ok ok its gettin pretty long but i really hope this puts some ideas in your head of where to start. You can do anything you put your mind to!

Hi there:waving:

Just to add into Ashley's post. I happen to love apples, and they are still pretty fresh right now seasonally speaking.

I buy a bag of them, and leave them on my desk. Really easy to reach for if I'm in the mood to snack. I haven't hit the vending machine in who knows how long since I started doing that...

Also another tip- if u like the feedback in here, most of the time the more u post the more other people with read and post. There are tons of diaries that get started all the time so when your just starting out less people post. But if you continue on the this journey people will be following it and they will start posting more and more.

Thats what i've found anyhow. Welcome and good luck!

So yesterday very early in the morning, I had a wellness check at my husbands company for his insurance. It went okay. Until I got the results. My wellness score was 63/100! So it puts my health risk at HIGH! Why? Everything is great, my blood pressure, blood sugar, total cholesterol, heart rate, flexibility all fine. The ONLY thing bad was my BMI, go figure! My bmi is at 36 which aparently makes me OBESE! Which I think is CRAP!!! I may hate my body and wish everyday that I could be 75 pounds lighter, but I came home and cried for like an hour! Whe the hell are they to say i'm OBESE! The only positive things to come out of yesterday is the fact that I lost 2 pounds. But other than that, it was horrifying! So in attempt to make me feel better about myself, my husband took me to Victoria Secrets to try to show me that if I was obese, I wouldn't be able to fit into things at VS. It did make me feel a little better, cause I can. But other than that. I just feel horrable! So yesterday afternoon. I went to walmart, I bought everything needed to make salads for the week at work, I bought yogurt, triskets and some high proten cereal bars. I'm going to get more rice and chicken as well. I'm hoping that yesterday tragedy was enough to FORCE me to work harder that ever! But just to let everyone know, I SUCK at staying away from goodies at christmas! My whole family is Irish and we all LOVE LOVE LOVE christmas and our cookie making parties lol So that part will be tough. But 2009 is right around the corner, and it will be okay.

That is so cute that your hubby took you to Victoria's Secret!

And about your ticker, make sure you have the right numbers in the right boxes on the ticker factory website. There should be one for your starting weight, your current weight, and you goal weight. It seems like one of those might be mixed up and thats why it says u gained 2 pounds.

Ugh, your hubbys work can shove it! BMI charts are such a waste of time and space and paper and liminate!!! Good for your hubby for taking you to VS and showing you that you are not obese!!

*HUGS!*

Sorry about the bad day! Don't worry too much about the numbers...just focus on eating healthy and exercise a little every day. I find it helps me to eat about 200 calories every 3 hours. Keep trying you never know what's going to work for you! It's great your dh is happy with how you look..don't think mine is so much.

Where you at lady?! Get your ass in here :) I had a great time in Vegas, but its time to get back to work. Gotta get some super dieting in lol. I'll talk to ya later!
