Kim: txs but I can't take credit for that, it was an idea by a guy (I'm assuming it was a guy) who wrote an article in TIME. And yes, won tons are so fun to cook with. I don't do bread at all ('cause it triggers me to keep going and going and going) except for my little piece of corn muffin...I'm a southern girl who can't eat turnip greens without that little piece crumbled on top...so country I know.

So stuff like won tons, filo, wraps, etc. fills in the breadless void.
Bethann: Howdy...nice to meet ya....and thxs for stopping by!
Lukewarm: You so have the right idea and attitude! Being excited about and experimenting with "real" food is not only fun it keeps you from feeling like you're "on a diet" even when you're watching your calorie intake. When I made the personal commitment to go to whole foods I invested in the best cook-book in the entire world "
Cooking the Whole Foods Way" by Christina Pirello...between that book and the five million recipies I've since created in my own personal "cookbook", like Scarlett O'Hara I can hold my fist up defiently and declare "I will never be hungry (for yummy food) again!"
Hope everyone has a great week-end!
Cals at 1722, slightly under low end of maint. range, not on purpose, but just a case of food intake matching appetite. Sat fat, fiber, protein targets all met. Funny how I haven't exceeded 20g sat fat since I gave myself "permission" to temporarily go up to 25g. Even though cals a bit low, I still got in not only a cookie but...8 servings fruits/veggies, 3 servings dairy, both lean meat and fish and 7 different grain/nut/etc servings from different sources. Life is sooooo easy when my Happy Hungry Hormones are not raging!
