It's a long "In-between" but I'm chugging along

It's really hard to find anything that even comes CLOSE to a full-body shot of me.

When I started in October I weighted 303 (eek!). I've been on the Center for Medical Weight Loss through my doctor since then. Plus he recently put me on phentermine because I was STARVING because exercise. At my last weigh-in about a week and a half ago I weighed 252. So I'm down 51 pounds. Huzzah!

I'm almost halfway. I'd like to get to about 180. I haven't been below 200 since maybe 9th grade. Even my junior and senior years of high school when I was on the swim team I think I was still about 210. I wore a 14/16 then and I'd like to get into a 12. Or a 10 if my body will do that.

Anyhoo, the closest I could find to a before picture was taken in May 2006 when I went to China with my marching band. I was probably about the same then that I was when I started losing.

By the way, it kills me that I'm ashamed of how I look in my China pictures. A once in a lifetime trip and I don't want anyone to see me in my own photos.

I'm still not into the full body shot thing...but here's a picture of my friend and I from this weekend when she came to visit me. I'm the one on the right, the redhead with the brighter blue shirt on (aka Mets blue).

I do actually have one full body shot from the weekend...well, semi-full body...

When I look at it I don't see a difference. Or at least, I still just see a fat girl. Despite the fact that I know there isn't a popsicle's chance in hell I'd have been able to walk into a Mets clubhouse store and buy a women's shirt before.

Yes, I need to work on my self-esteem too.

le sigh.

51 pounds is nothing to laugh at. Thats a huge amount of weight, and I can relate to your comment about not seeing it. I am at the 50 pound make myself and was having a hard time seeing it too, until recently. All of the sudden, BAM, I looked thinner. It will happen to you too. Do not give up it is soooooo worth it to keep going.

I agree with CoffeBro and HocusPocus.:iagree: 50 lbs is alot of weight and you should never sell yourself short! That's an amazing accomplishment and I can't wait to get there myself.

Keep up the good work girly!

50lbs is an amazing accomplishment. :D Also, you're gorgeous already.. sheesh, you get to your goal weight and you're gonna have boys swarming all around you even more. When the time comes, let me know. I'll send you a fly swatter as a Congrats Gift. hahaa Best of luck!

If you put the two pictures beside each other you really willl have to notice the difference, you look fantastic, its an amazing achievement. I know its hard to notice something when your so close though, others tend to notice first. But one day you will look and realise, you know what, of course i can see it. And when you do, every single doubt that you had will disapear, well done. I dont know you, but i'm very proud of you.

Thanks everyone! I'm not giving up any time soon. This is the first time in my life I've been able to stay "on the wagon" even after the occasional slip.

You do look different
so don't lie to yourself. Your body has made a big change, a lot smaller now too.
especially your face and neck
your doing a great job, just keep going the road is long and hard, but it's worth it.

:seeya:Congratulations on your significant loss! You are doing great, and I can certainly see a difference. Keep up the great work.

You look great. Stay positive and remember that you can absolutely be a size 10 or whatever size you want to be! Consistency, Consistency, Consistency! Keep rocking!

I see a difference. Either way, you are very pretty. Best of luck getting down to your ultimate goal and staying there. =)

Congrats! I know how you feel, it's taking me a while to know the difference... I can tell parts of me are much smaller, though when I look down, I've still got a big stomach and thighs. Just gotta think of the final outcome. You will get there! Awesome job so far. :)

update...

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement everyone.

I've only lost about 5 more pounds since I posted this, but I have a new (better) picture.
