It Starts...

I'm home and glad to be. I'm not as stressed out as I have been, but we took a review quiz in A&P and I did waaay better than exepected... guess I know more than I think... which gives me confidence going into the final... Granted I still have a bit of studying to do!

I received an email from the dept head of the Nurtition program asking to schedule an interview with her. I acutally already met with her once when I first changed my major so I feel pretty confident that it will go over well. The interview is next Tuesday afternoon... and I have a little problem! I dont have a thing to wear. My office is casual and I pretty much wear jeans everyday. For a while I worked for an office that had a dress code and I wore skirts and slacks everyday... its been close to 3 years since I've had to dress like that meaning I have ZERO business like clothes. The few things I do have are TOO BIG and all black... I don't want to look like I'm going to a freaking funeral!!! So I asked Step if he would buy me an interview outfit.... and the answer was pretty much no... he said I already have things to wear and we dont need to be spending money on clothes.... Okay makes sense problem is I DONT have anything to wear and I don't want to look sloppy.... I expressed this to my mom as well as the fact I have some spare cash I keep for emergencies... but just like a mom she offered to take me shopping.... I am torn though... I kinda feel like I conned her into it... even though that was NOT my intention... although I knew she would offer and she wouldn't let me turn her down.... ugh... at one point I did have a bunch of nice professional clothes... but I would be swimming....

Anyway, that's the story of my life as of this afternoon... I'm going to get some studying in before Step gets home and hopefully get a run in tonight. I had such a good run on Monday I want another one without a time limit!!!

Oh on the acutal weight-loss biz... I'm holding at 140 which works for me. I was thinking back today when I mentioned to Val about her goals... what my goals are. I never thought I would look good at 140. I figured I would be too skinny... but this is obviously not the case... so what's another 10lbs??? I honestly think I could hit 128-130 and be smokin' but I could be wrong again I look better at 118-120... which would be 20lbs. But I have to get to 130 first.... with that being said a new goal is born... another 10lbs by Feb 1st. that gives me close to 8 weeks... which is just under a pound a week... TOTALLY DOABLE!!!! I also really want to work on strength training. I feel like I always say that but never acutally do it. I would like to strength train 3 times a week min with some form of cardio everyday... but just dont have the time.... but I could make time and that's what I need to do. Right now my focus in on school... but once its over... its on like donkey kong!!

Okay... thats all the ranting I can do for one session...
 
Do you run with a group? What races??.. do tell! :) lol (I'm sure I could go through and find more info.. but I'm a lazy lazy girl)..

I ran with the Road Runners for about 1/2 a second last year..
I've been slacking forever now but once I get back on it I'd LOVE to run with you... :)

Congrats on the Interview, I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you (yeah so maybe I've got Monkey toes lol). ;)

I gain in my upper body, I'd give anything to gain down below. I've always had fairly muscular legs and a little butt. BOOooOO! lol..

I have been looking into several running groups but havent joined any because they all cost money... something I have little of. I typically find races from the Road Runners website, there event calender is pretty full of all kinds of things. My runs lately have been at home on the mill. My honey and I will do the Academy loop on the weekends sometimes... but with the weather getting cold we have been going less and less. I'm hoping that once the semester is over we will get back out more often!!!

I am pretty sure I will be accepted into the program but the crossed toes are welcomed!!!

Ha, I would like my bigg butt better if it were a little more proportioned to the rest of my body... someday though!!
 
Cool, I will have to check out the website again.. I think I might re-join in the spring... Running outside in the cold gives me chest cycles (yes there's such a thing *wink*) lol.

Well I'm seriously considering butt implants.. ;)

T?rt--no need to be jealous, do you weight train? "The largest muscle in the body is the gluteus maximus muscle in the buttocks" ;) That means you can MAKE IT BIGGER, I swear! Are you adverse to deadlifts and barebell squats? Trust me, those work! I was thinking of doing them again, as Yoga has made my body great, BUTT I think I'd like the extra lift those exercises provide! :D
 
Hmm... No I don't weight train but have been thinking more and more lately that I need to!! ... 'specially if it'll increase my shabang! ;)

I got a bootie video a few months ago. I'm REALLY gonna start doing it.. ;)

No idea what deadlifts are?? do tell! :)

Sorry!! Steve, one of the mods, and I have talked about the benefits of deadlifts until everyone was asleep, bored out of their minds! I am LAZY so I'll post this BUT the important thing is to keep the spine straight and firm! Deadlift - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It is a GREAT move-works everything but the most important thing is it gives you a bigger, higher booty! :D
 
Pretty much most all the exercises mentioned here are in the lifting stickies. Check it out. There is some real good stuff in there.

it could be much better... by the time we edited that video it was the wee hours of the morning and i had a healthy dose of alcohol in the system, lol.

hence the stuttering in the commentary.

we plan on reshooting many of these videos down the road.

A bar is free weights. What do you mean all you have is free weight?

OH LOL. I mean free weights as in little hand weights... I'm sure they have a real name but I don't know. :)
They're green and say "Denise Austin" on them.. They're on a little tower and range from like 1 lb to 10 lbs or something ghey like that... ;)

- if you can't tell I'm NEW to weight training.. I'm a cardio girl.. meaning no muscle. ;) lol
But that's why I got that weight machine so I can be a hot sessy bish. lol

25 in each hand? - so they'll still work with out the bar?
... then I will do it.
I think I should get heavier free weights though LOL.
