It's time to get serious. I've been dieting on and off since I was just a child. I was never extremely overweight, but always uncomfortable with my weight, and I am almost as heavy as I have ever been. I've started and stopped diet plans more times than I can remember, and it's gotten really old. I need to make a change and stick with it. I know I am capable of making this change... I just need to get determined enough.
Current Challenges and Possible Remedies:
1)
A non-dieter in the house and food is shared = unhealthy choices abound;
Eat these in moderation, so as not to lose control after forbidding them from my diet
2)
A weight-loss buddy who has different fitness abilities from mine;
Modify my workout so that we are working together, but I'm adding extra activity
3)
I am a semi-vegetarian, and I tend to load up on carbs and fatty proteins to accommodate the lack of meat in my diet;
Pair up carbs with veggies or lean proteins--a one-for-one deal. Also, include more lean non-meat proteins in daily meals.
All right, here goes!!! Islandgirl
