Is this overtraining?

My workout programme at the moment consists of full upper-body workouts (3 sets to of about 8 reps to failure on each muscle I can work) every other day, so with 1 full rest day inbetween each workout. There is no leg work or cardio at the moment, as I have a broken ankle.

My question is, as long as I'm eating properly, does this leave enough time for my muscles to recover and grow? Otherwise I would leave 2 days inbetween workouts but then I wouldn't feel like I was working on it hard enough as my muscles feel fine and ready to go again the next day.

Thanks.

i hear you on that. im always ready to work my chest again. but thats the thing about working the entire body. you can do chest 1 day, legs the second day, back the 3rd day. and back to the chest again, giving the chest enough time to have rested and grow. thats just a rough example of a 3day split routine though.

hmmm

so its not really a full body workout but a complete upper body workout

tell us a bit more, but for now, don't work out to failure, thats just silly :p

i love workin till failure, it makes me feel like im acomplishing somthing. i'm with corple, try dividing ur upper body into push/pull/off, a two day workout cycle. BUT get right back into it with your legs when ur ankle is 100%! then it would be just like corple said push/pull/legs
