is running good for losing weight, in my case?

hello.
i'm 5''5 tall, & weighs 156lbs.
i've been running for about 4 times per week, for roughly about 3km on the average.
and i've been cutting down on my calories intake, and avoid all those junk foods.

is it good for my overall health? or am i overtraining?

:)

It all depends on your goals. Running on a calorie deficit is a good way to lose tissue i.e both fat and muscle. Incorporating weight training will allow you to burn the fat and give your body a reason to hold on to muscle tissue. Therefore in my opinion you should be looking to burn fat and build muscle but this is entirely up to you.

Our stats are exactly the same!

I wish you good luck! Keep it up!

I am no expert, but make sure you don't cut TOO much on the calories.
I have made that mistake too often in the past, going on crazy low calorie diet, and at the end of it, it just give you that "skinny fat" look.

If I may, maybe you could include weightlifting in your training . It won't make you bulky, but more defined, and will help you lose fat also!

Again good luck
