Is keto diet suitable for me?

I see keto is often discussed in body building forums but not here. So I guess it is mainly for body builders that need to lose a little amount of weight in a few months.

I'm about 250lbs 5'9". I'm not sure what my BF% is but I can say I have moobs with a big belly (36" pant size). Is this diet practical for someone like me that wants to lose at least 60lbs? I realize that you can get fat after going off this diet, but I could transition to a different healthy diet if I have to.

Now keto diet sounds too good to be true. I'm baffled about how much fat you have to it. Has anyone that was in a similar situation as me used it to lose this much fat? Or is it better left for the body builders to do?

wouldn't it be better to do the healthier diet and calorie cutting now instead of having to transition?

Well see there is the problem. Your mentality is 'FAST'. Weight loss isn't meant to be fast. The body doesn't do rapid weight loss well. Your goal should be around 1% of your body a week. When you do fast, you put yourself in danger.

Forget the speed, think technique. Slow is much better.

Also, the man-boobs thing might not even drop then. The body puts weight on in one order and removes in the reverse. If this is something you always had, it will take till most of your other reserves are gone before they shrink.

There is no way at your current weight that dropping 60 pounds in 4 months is wise. That would be an average of 5 pounds a week.
