is it possible through exercise to close the gap in muscles after 3rd child?

im thinking of having a tummy tuck as i have no self esteem anymore, as i wake up with a pot belly that gets bigger throughout the day as i eat..

iv had my 3rd child 7 months ago and i look 7 months pregnant still, im slim everywhere else and ideal weight so it looks worse than ever..

im so depressed im thinking of surgery, i also have stretch marks but il have a big scar if i have a tummy tuck..

so my question is: can i through exercise with a personal trainer etc close the gap in between my stomach muscles after 3 children? i can get 3 fingers width in the gap all the way down ;(

im 5ft 3 and weigh 9st 4 lb

diastasis

hi

due to pregnancy the muscles seperate in the middle so the tummy can grow, when the muscles seperate its called diastasis of the rectus muscles i believe,, ie a gap in between the muscles all the way down..

this closes usually but after somany children it stays open resulting in a pot belly appearance

does this make sense?

cheers

I imagine that that some deep core (transverse abdominis, maybe internal obliques), possibly external core, and postural conditioning will probably draw your stomach back inwards. But I'm no expert in pregnancy/post-pregnancy training, so I can only speculate.
