Is it okay to have this kind of sleep schedule?

I'm an insomniac. I find myself staying up til around 3 or 4 am, sometimes later. I do get 8 hours of sleep typically though. I sleep til about noon. I get up and go through a routine that anyone else would go through when they get up. I do struggle to eat a breakfast though. That's not because of my sleep pattern, but rather cos I was raised on not eating breakfast.
 
Have you been to a doctor? Getting 8 hours of sleep doesn't sound like insomnia to me, just a bit of trouble getting off to sleep.
 
Agreed that it's not insomnia if you typically get 8 hours of sleep. Force yourself to wake up early one day, no matter how much it hurts. Stay up throughout the day and then go to bed at a resonable time.
 
You're probably right. By technical definition, I don't think I have insomnia, as much as I do Internet addiction. I work from home, so I'm usually on the Internet from noon to 4pm, and then I have a social life between 4pm and 9pm, sometimes later, depending and then when I get home I'm up til about 3 or 4 like I said. Fortunately, the Internet hasn't gotten severe enough to actually affect my social life.

I wasn't sure if staying up that late and getting up that late was bad or not though. Or is it okay as long as still eat 5-6 meals a day? (Even if that means eating a couple of those meals between midnight and 4)
 
see a doctor and discussed your problem with him. actually i find your sleeping schedule wrong. i don't know what you should do so that's why i have asked you to see a doctor. when i lost all my weight using i had a weird sleeping pattern too and it was not good for me. I had to maintain a healthy weight and sleep or it was not good for health :D

force yourself to get up at like 7 or 8 one day...and then you'll probably be able to fall asleep earlier...you should put your alarm clock on the other side of your room or w/e forcing you to get up to turn it off
