Is it okay to do HIIT and weightraining on the same day?

HIIT before weightraining or weightraining after hiit?

Here is my schedule...

monday/wednesdays 7:30am-8:45am is my body conditioning/physical fitness class at my college. First 30 minutes is cardio on the track or fitness center (whatever I want to do..HIIT, sprint, agility, stairs, bike, treadmill, cross trainer, etc. At 8am, we meet back in the class room for crunches/push ups/bicycles/twist crunches for like 2-3 minutes (dont keep track of the time so I dont know..all I know is its 150 all together) and then do the teachers stretches, and after that we do weightraining (any way we want to train. his training or ours. I do my own though because I am building for my sport, not body building). I am done with school at 3:15pm, so I'm free after that if I can do HIIT then.

Tuesday/Thursdays - availible from 9am-11am. at 2:30pm I have softball practice. I tried HIIT like 5 hours before softball practice and it did not do me good. My legs were worn out in practice. I was able to run fine, but my legs felt like they were going to give out.

On the other hand, I want to know if its okay to do HIIT for the first 15 minutes of class(I'm a starter at it) and then I'll walk at the end until its time to go in. Lately though, I have been just doing weightraining only on monday and wednesdays (in fitness center, skipping the abdominal work, and then coming back in to finish my weightraining routine. I know that tuesday/thursdays are not good for HIIT or weightraining (I heard its not good to weightrain on practice days) and I only do agility footwork and sprintwork on tuesday/thursdays in the morning.

My guess is you can do HIIT before weight training but make sure you give yourself a couple hours to recover so you aren't too tired for weight training. Also your legs might be aching big time.

my legs never ache when I do HIIT or cardio or sprint work. They may slow down when trying to sprint, but thats about it.

oh

I can try it today and see what it does. I just gotta make sure I stretch really good before my art class because I sit in one position. and my legs always stiff up if I do cardio on mon/wed mornings.
