Is coffee a bad thing to drink?

I work out regularly and have a pretty good diet of foods that i know are right for me and will keep me trim. The one question i have is coffee. I drink it black so there is no sugar or cream to worry about but what kind of effect does that have on someone? I don't drink it every day maybe 2 or 3 cups a week and i have not noticed anything unusual i was just wondering if I should drink that or not. Thanks!

Anything in moderation is ok for you I guess. The danger would be that your body starts to rely on that caffeine boost to stay active and awake, if you are drinking too much of it.
Somebody else may be able to tell you the nutritional impacts of coffee but that's as much as I know.

Almost everything I've read about caffeine has been positive. Coffee also has anti-oxidants and stuff. Other than staining your teeth and unless you're using it as a substitute for sleep.. I think it's pretty good for you.

Coffee won't kill you, but it won't help you out much either. Caffeine is highly addictive, and it's a diuretic (makes you need to pee) and a thermogenic (burns calories, dehydrates you). Things are rarely black and white (or in this case, black and green?)

And YOU Muck haven't been reading these forums enough if you haven't read bad things about caffeine =D

There is nothing wrong with 2-3 cups per week. If your drinking plenty of water then just include an extra cup of water per cup of coffee.
Beer is bad for you, but I'll still enjoy a bottle with my dinner 2-3times a week and 5-6pints every month or so for a celibration.

Fil - I seriously doubt anyone would get a caffiene addiction from 2-3 cups a week.
