Is Biking good cardio?

I heard some mixed reviews and would like to know if biking is a good cardio excercise...

Tell me the Pros and the Cons if you will.
 
Total Body Workout

Biking is Terrific exercise. Great for legs and heart and lungs.

for a more total body workout try joining an indoor Stationary Cycle with a speed bag for a "Punch & Ride" workout. Hits both the upper and lower body.

Biking is as effective as you make it. If you are out for a leisure ride and don't sweat then it is probably not a great cardio work out. If you pick up the pace or hit some trails I guarantee you'll get a work out.

Mountain biking is one of my favorite cardio activities.

Never used a speed bag.
