Is a leg up even an exercise ?

The guy who did my routine for me gave me these things called leg ups and i am ment to do them after my situps so does any one have i idea what they are coz i have searched google and cant find **** all about them ! and havent seen the trainer to arsk him yet

wait a minnute.. the guy dident show you the lifts in the routine? Who was he? a trainer? or just a friend? Regardless, i would post up the routine. Does it have squats?

hmm yeah mayby that is it but yes he did not show me there was a range of things he dident show me but i figured them out by looking on the net and such but this leg one has got my confused its right after my standard sit ups so it HAS to be somthing to do with abs. and yes i do squats but i suck at them and i have a lanky body and i dont think i do them very well :(

no i payed 410 for a years worth of gym membership and he made a routine for me hes a mad guy tho and he was telling me how he was as skinny as me he dident look big with his shirt on but i seen him changing...im not gay :p and he was chunk as. the amount he lifted with the dumbells was skits for his size

Oh and yeah i have a check up with him every 8 weeks and he goes over how well i been doing and will go from there. not like a personal trainer but good enuf and i cant aford one and imo perssonal trainers are for the weak

It depends on your needs. In some ways, yes, a PT is for the weak: those who have trouble motivating themselves.

However, a good PT can identify weakness in their clients and design custom programs to shore them up.

Don't think PTs are for the lame unless you know exactly what you are doing and since you had someone design a program for you, you obvioulsy don't.

If you want to be sure you're doing a well designed program, get "New Rules of Lifting" and be done for a year.

yeah, i would LOVE to have a good PT who i could talk with and have help me with routines and stuff. But i dont have the money, and i dont think there are any good ones in my town..

yes personal trainers are for the weak.....or rich lol but seriously just if my program aint perfect still doesent mean **** really i know its working but meh it mite not be getting 100% growth from say a personal trainers exp but i will still get to my goal!!! mayby just a litel bit slower but i dont give a fark! im doin this with my own mental will power and i will become a better person for it i think rather then have some guy do it all for you. i think any one that does this on there own will have a much better sence of i duno...well being i guess mayby it sounds cheesy but thats the way i see it.

I will no longer offer my advice to you then since you dont need any. Though since you've joined you've been asking questions nonstop.

Id much rather have a PT give me advice then some gym buddy who may have huge muscles. Sure beats doing bicep curls all week.
