Irishprincess weight loss progress!!

Yuck, Irish, the flu! I'm so sorry :( I can never eat well when I am sick because the only thing that ever sounds good is hot chocolate and ice cream, oh well, never stays down anyway so maybe it all works out??? ;) Hope you feel better, like, now! Take care of yourself!

Ive recovered like 80 percent but i now kinda have a rash on my skin( i think its from stress) Anyway like Loch says, i do tend to get the flu alot, i have a very weak immune system! Im literally scared to get on the scales, don't want to see the number. Ive so much college work to do and im doing sweet fuck all!

Kate I really hope you feel better!! Only one more month until Christmas! I just got over the stomach flu, but my appetite hasn't really returned yet. I still want to do this together!

You will get your mojo back....getting sick can take weeks to get better...even after the "upfront" symptons are gone...hang in there..you will be back on track in no time! :)

Im finished college for christmas, yay....... but ive been eating total shit since ive been back to college in septemeber. I FEEL HUGE/ Im pretty sure ive gained all the weight ive lost back. I haven't seen a scale in ages because im scared incase i see a number that will give me a heart attack. Im working so much at the moment aswel. I AM SO MAD AT MYSELF.


I have to go to work there now, i hope tomorrow to christmas i can eat some way good.

Irish, I missed you!!!!!!!!!!!! Face the scales, hop on, accept what they say, then start again!! You don't want to keep gaining (if you have... you know it might not be quite as bad as you think). I still know you can do this.


Yay glad you have some time off over Christmas!!! Take the time to chill out a little, reassess your goals... maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself to reach your goal too quickly, or trying to lose weight too fast... Remember, even if you make heaps of small changes, they all add up... So if you're ready to jump in fully in a few months, you could've easily lost a pound or so a week without focusing all your energy on it... all those single pounds add up!

Well today eating starts good until the 24 th of dec, im terrified of stepping on the scales. OH GOD THE FEAR.


I dont know what has happened to me, i guess i got caught up with coll work and actual work. I didn;t know how to balance things as i used to always be lazy. I have to prioritise everything now...this forum is such a huge motivation to me, and i was not using it properly since september.


Anyway, less talk more action, i'll let ye know how i get on tomorrow

Hey sweetness!! You really do have a lot going on in your life... but like you said, you need to prioritise. And your health/ wellbeing/ happiness SHOULD be a big priority to yourself! I absolutely understand juggling everything, last year when I was studying 5 days a week and working 4 days I was trying SO hard to lose weight, and I lost a little bit... but my weight was bouncing around all over and I managed to gain it all back plus some in just 2 weeks, then I gave up. It really is about mindset too, I decided I was absolutely going to do this this time... I have an excel spreadsheet I wrote up, and the plan was to lose only 2kg (about 4lb) a month, so I started off with a 6 month plan so I could focus on just my goal for the month and not have to have a huge deficit (to lose half a kg a week it's like only a 600cal deficit a day- me at my current weight now I'm exercising could eat 2100cals a day now!!) I made it more of a mission to eat healthier though, which in turn stopped me from wanting to eat junk food... I have only ever been this focused/ successful one other time at losing weight, and I used to work in a gym then.


Really just decide what you need to do, it really doesn't need to be a huge change... just taking your lunch with you and planning your dinner in the morning before you leave the house makes a MASSIVE difference. You've set out what you're going to eat, and then when you've had a long day you can eat it and chill out because you've already decided on it.


Also setting small goals for yourself every month means less stress on you to achieve bigger goals, and keeps disappointment at bay which is where I would trip up in the past- being incredibly disappointed I've only lost half a pound one week would set me off on a week of bad eating, then I'd have to lose the half pound PLUS the other two I put on lol.

Consumed 1700 calories today, which is a huuuuuge improvement to what ive been eating for the last while!

Lucy, god thanks so much for the advice!! You really are such an inspiration though, like i dont know how you work so much and still are in control of your food intake. Yeah ive alot going on at the moment compared to the summertime when i had sweet f all to do. JUST GOTTA PRIORITSE. I think you nailed it about me preparing my own meals, because on my lunch break i have no food with me so i get a big fattening sandwhich and fizzy drink! So i think doing this alone will help me alot, also ive been consuming so much fizzy drink at the moment. ITS beyond disgusting how bad i have gotten.


I remember start of sepetember was the last time really i was acutally properly behaving myself for a long duration of time. Well the two main things im going to do Lucy is drink alot of water, eat 1500 cals max and not eat after 8pm- not till christmas day, because i want to enjoy the celebrations on Christmas. But i really want to be so in control of this again. Thanks so so so so much for all the advice babe, i will defo PM soon for more of a proper chat!! Hope your well hunni bun xxxx
 
Finally faced the fear today. I stepped on the scales and my weight was 17 stone 1.5 pounds. I thought i would be way bigger but nada so delira.


Also consumed 1010 calories today!! Delighted.

Glad that you faced the scale and that things weren't as bad as you thought they would be. Now you don't have that hanging over your head. Keep it up! ^_^
 
ASo glad that your weight hadn't gone up as high as you thought :D I used to have moments of panic like that when I used to stop and start my diets all the time thinking that I' put on loads more.

I dunno what it is about the new year that gives people the boost they need to eat well, but it always does doesn't it.... So I reckon we'll both be on track properly soon.

My course is such hard work and its only a floozy-ish subject, god knows what it must be like for your doing such a hard subject... With college as well you have homework as well as actually having to go there and its so stressful making time for it. I don't know about you but I'm not anywhere near efficient enough when I'm doig my work, it ends up taking me double the amount of time that it should.

We can do this o matter how stressed out and busy we are. We can. And we will!

Ps, what do you think of little mix winning? I didn't like them at first but I think they deserved it. Even if really tiny people do scare me lol.
