Irishprincess weight loss progress!!

AYou know, I've been the same way. I know I won't hit my mini goal of 200 by Jan 1st, but, even if I'm at 219 by then it's still better than what I was. You have to keep faith, Princess. It's a rough time of year.

I'd suggest finding motivators. I find that if I know I'm going to pig out when I go out, I don't really go out. That, or I'll skip drinks, or bad food. You can still have fun without drinking a ton, or eating a bunch of bad food.

You'll get there, just keep trying. This forum isn't going anywhere, haha. I've been slacking off too.

Hey Irish, I hate to say it but.......... 16 stone 11 lbs. I don't mean to sound all tough love on you, I only say that because I know how much that number motivated you in the past and how dedicated you can be to making sure you don't ever see it again. You straight up kicked ass last week girl, you KNOW you can do this! I have two pictures that I took of the scale when it read my highest weight, one is on the fridge and the other is my wallet (that stops me from grabbing bad things when I am at school or on the run.) From what you've said, remembering where you have come from really helps you keep focused, so just keep that moment when you saw that on the scale in your head. Look at all the effort and dedication you put into school, you have some serious drive and will power and that shows that you can have that in every single aspect of your life. Last I checked, studying is no fun, but you do it because you have to and you see that there is a greater goal at the end that is worth the present sacrifice. I know when I started approaching weight loss like I did my studies, it really changed things for me. You can do both, just focus on your goal in every action that you take, just like you do when you don't feel like writing another essay. You come off as a tough woman, just set your mind to it and go, everyone here knows you can do it :)

Thanks a mill frogged, really appreciate it!

AHeya sweetie

Sorry i haven't stopped by in a while, you know how life gets huh

So so love the idea about putting that weight in your wallet or on the fridge!!! That is something i am gonna do. It will definatly keep me on track. I don't want to go back to my start weight. Also we DO know you can do this. Just keep plodding along hun, you'll get there.

Sending you loads of positive vibes. Xx

AWooohooooo, day two of kicking arse! I love that we are getting back on track together.

I had never though that losing weight is similar to studying though- but I guess it is. If you are working/have kids you HAVE to plan your study, the same way that you have to plan what you are going to eat each week. We should make time for exercise in the same way.

Can't wait to see your weigh in next week girly :hurray: Its going to feel great seeing that number go down by loads x

Irish I just make sure that I know how many calories I can eat... and then make sure everything I eat tastes absolutely insanely good so I don't feel deprived. I think cutting out refined sugars is what has made me stop craving sugar... If I sweeten something naturally with dried fruit or maple syrup I don't get a buzz or crash like I did with sugar, and I just don't crave it anymore. Every single day I have lunch in our staffroom at work and every day there is a platter with leftovers from the bakery- cookies, doughnuts, muffins etc. I don't even look twice anymore! Trust me, it's weird for me too. I used to work in the bakery before I moved up here, and while baking I'd probably eat around 10+ leftover cookies every day without thinking about it. I really don't miss the feeling of being weighed down by heaps of sugar too, I think junk food hangovers are almost as bad as real hangovers. I have a pretty sensitive stomach though so maybe that's just me!

1500 cals for the day is awesome!! Keep at it, go hard the rest of the week!!

Hey Princess

Just took the time to catch up on your diary!! Don't be so hard on yourself....the habits you have you have had for a while now! The weight didn't creep in overnight...so it will not go away over night.

I think the best way to loose weight is to make lifestyle decision that you can live with. I am trying to fit in exercise myself too and with working full time and the kids and the house and now school (online school) it's very hard....how about we cheer eachother on?? I decided to walk across town to go get the mail today instead of taking the car, took 40 min so that is my workout for today! When you choose the food you eat...don't just look at the calorie intake but also what it contains....120 cal of chocolat won't energies and fill you up like a 120 cal chicken sandwich, when I pick my foods I always look at the calories and wonder if it's worth all those calories sure it tastes good but will it nourish me..... Keep up the good work eventually you will learn to balance things out in your life ....

Wow, thank you all so much for the support, ye are too too kind! consumed 1300 cals today. Stressed is not the word when it comes to college work:( Im going out tomorrow night and im thinking what drink should i drink??eeeeeek.

LESSON LEARNED TODAY: Not bringing money to college it will only tempt me to buy bad stuff in the canteen:(

Hope everyone has a fab one:)

Do you own a stress ball, Irish?
smile.gif

I know it may interfere with your ability to write, but having one may help slightly with the pressure you're feeling from college requirements, plus it's a little bit of extra exercise!

What's your favorite color? Amazon sells some for pretty cheap with a variety of color options
smile.gif

I dunno, just a thought! Hope you get some time to relax here soon!

AMy dear princess...it feels like forever and ever since I have been on your page...so so sorry dear....I see you aren't feeling so well.....hope you feel better soon :grouphug:

AGood job on turning down the Chinese, it's so hard to do that. I love that stuff. You keep bouncing back, even when you have a string of bad days, so just stay focused. Try to have more good days than bad! That's what I'm doing haha. I still cheat once in a while, but, I'm trying really hard not to.

If you're stressed, try finding some time, even 5 mins, just to close your eyes and relax. Everything will work out for you, that's why it's so tough! Nothing in life is worth having if it's easy, it's the challenges that make it worthwhile.

Good luck!

Hey sweetness, hope you are having a fabulous weekend and not getting too bogged under studying and essays!!!!! (Assuming you feel better, hope you do!)

Yay for turning down Chinese too!! It's easy for me to say no to the big M or fried chicken from somewhere... but there's something about Chinese and Indian food I have trouble turning down.

Hello my darlings!! My flu has taken a turn for the worst, ate bad yesterday as a result:(

So busy with college work, i'll be busy up till the 9th!! I'll be back on this in a couple of days to tell ye more updates!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

lots of loooooooove xx
