Intro, goals and my journey!

November 15th - 235lb

Bought some new scales costing $56 :) They also change slightly but rarely and only by about .5 of a lb so I'm really happy. This means I have officially lost 10lbs!!!!!! Yayyy, My new weights are coming tommorow so that'll be brilliant too. I only had college till 2:30 so in theory I should have spent all those free hours bikings or something, instead I only nike around 20miles all day. :( I feel a bit lazy for not doing extra with the extra hours but yeah, maybe tomorrow - I'm only in college till 10:30am so haha :)

Hello Bc83..

Congratulations on the weightloss of 10 pounds! The first 10 pounds are the hardest...after that, it isn't easy, but most of the time positive reinforcement (like on this site) keeps us going!

Good job and keep it up!!

Great Job BC83! I was laughing about your beer comment! My husband and I love beer but its soooo bad for you! Maybe I'll appreciate it more now that I'm limiting myself? :) You're doing amazing!

Haha thanks and yeah I was soo annoyed at beer being that much. :p I also looked up Cider as I looove cider but that was also a lot :p I'll stick to sparkling water!

November 16th - 235lb

Really glad that my weight has stayed the same as on my old scales I would have been worried about it going up 5lb's so that's definately a plus. I got no exercise done today as my new multigym came and I spent around 4hours (!!!) setting it up on my own. Damn those things are awkward :p Will be going on that tonight, and it comes with a beginners, intermediate and advanced programme and how many weeks to do each for so I'm hoping I can follow those and get somewhere. I've noticed though that since I stopped lifting weight a while back I can lift around 25kg less now, can't wait to get that back up! Been a good day, was hoping to get a lot of exercise done though (other than biking to and from college) as I finished college at 10:30am, but then I remembered I had to wait in for the multigym so it kind of got me stuck in the house.

November 18th - 237lb

Sorry I missed the 17th, I usually post the day after but it was my birthday. So today was my birthday, had a lot of drink (calories!!!) and a piece of cake. :( I had a great day and hopefully this won't affect anything too much. So far it's put on 2lb but I'm sticking to my diet now so hopefully we don't see any more gain. Been on my multigym, muscles hurt a bit haha, it's that good pain that lets you know you're doing it right though. :)

Woww so sorry bout missing so many days, just been hectic here. Ruined yesterday aswell, was a mates 18th and since I was recently 18 I had about 7 pints and 5/6 shots... </3 Will start posting as usual tomorrow. :)

22nd November - 234.8lbs

I really laughed when it told me I had lost weight! After ruining 2/3days in a row I was waiting for doom. I'm back on schedule now. Used my exercise bike today, biked about 7miles to college and back and about 8miles on the exercise bike. Haven't ate anything 'bad' today either, bought bottled water and some cough sweets which to my amazerment have lots of calories. I really hurt my throat though so was a necessity. Hope everyone else is doing good! :)

24 November - 233.4lbs

Very pleased with todays results. I biked about 20miles today, but I was starving ALL DAY!! no idea why, I had the same to eat as normal. Oh well, I can stick to the diet, I had enough energy so I think it's ok. As I don't think weights are as good as biking for burning calories, I've decided I will only do weights on Saturday and Sunday as I really want to lose as much as I can before Christmas. I still find the exercise bike in my garage painfully boring, but I think I burn the same if not more calories by biking IRL. IRL I have encouragement to go fast because I'm usually on main roads and if you go slow the traffic gets very annoyed with you :p I think I'll probably do more real biking however, with it being winter I can't predict whether there will be ice and I'd rather not do my current route during icy weather as the road already has a reputation for car crashes without ice!

26 November - 230.8lbs

Another weight loss! It's going to be a nuisance when it started becoming slow. :( I've been biking on my real bike and a long journey too! It's much more fun than sitting in my garage and you more of a workout I think from uphills, jumping up curbs etc! I'm really glad I'm sticking to this! :)

27 November - 228.4lbs

I feel like I'm losing the weight a little too fast, I thought I was being pushy when I expected 1lb a day. I hope I'm not going to pile loads back on because I lost it a little faster than I thought. Good news though! I'm 4lbs away from hitting my Christmas target which means I should easily have beaten it (by far) at christmas!!! I haven't tried the jeans I mentioned on yet because I have actually been trying them a couple of times over the past week. They can zip up now, but I'm not sure if that's because I think I'm thinner therefore I tried harder to zip them up.. they are still really tight on the legs so hopefully to get a realistic idea of if I do fit into a normal pair of 36jeans, my mum will be taking me to the clothes store next week (unknown to her :p).

Today was bloody tiring! We biked about 10miles away, walked another 3 and my friend got a flat tyre!! So, in the pitch black we walked 13miles home. GAHHHH, got college tomorrow too! Oh well, I expect to have the next week off after the first day because it's 'review week' which means you only go in if you have incomplete work and I'm one of the few in my college class who actually does their work on time. I'm currently awaiting the results on 2 pieces of work, 1 should be correct first time and the other teachers a bitch so will probly give me it back.. I really hate her x) I think she dislikes me cause I sent her a 'snobby' email once.

30th November - 228.2lbs

Feeling bad that I've only lost 0.2lbs in 3days. Was off college today and therefore I biked about 7miles in the morning and other 8miles at night. Hardly eaten because I don't think about it when I'm off college because there's no set times. x)

Yeah true :B I've lost around 17lbs total now and I don't think I look like I've lost any weigh, and I don't feel like it but I'm finding myself wearing T-Shirts I had for my 16th birthday (2years ago) that I never wore.. my t-shirts at the moment are XL and the ones I haven't wore are just L (which I'm now wearing) but before they were quite tight (but did fit) and I didn't like t-shirts like that as they seemed to amplify my 'fatness' :p so I wore a bigger size to have them baggy. I may just be thinking they fit better because a) I haven't worn them in so long b) I've lost weight and tricking myself into believing. Also, I can fit into all my jeans again now (although some are tight on the legs) it's definitely progress. My mum has agreed to take me town on the 10th to just try on some jeans in a shop and see if they fit as I believe any jeans I used to have worn may be 'stretched' from a lot of use over the past 10months or however long I've had them.

1st December - 226.8lbs

So the advent to Christmas has finally started! 24days eh, well well well... I really can't wait for Christmas this year - not because of the present and stuff, but because that is when the first target for my weight loss ends, and a new one will begin. I originally said I wanted 16stone (224lbs) for Christmas but as I'm now 3 lbs away with 24days, I've decided to push for 217lbs, I think it should be easy enough. I'm being really strict on myself, not a day has been by that I haven't done exercise, and not once have I gave in to junk food.. ok I had a biscuit once :p but apart from the biscuit (not even plural ;]) and the beers I've had on my birthday I think I've been really well and I can't wait to get to Christmas to start a new target. I've been thinking a lot about Christmas, I know there will be lots of food around etc, but I'm going to use the calorie counter online to see how many calories I need to maintain the same weight, and I'm going to try and eat no more than 150 less that that to try and ensure I gain no weight. I don't want my work going to waste. :)

So yeah, I'm really happy that today I am 226.8 as for the past few days I've been stuck at 228, so this boosted my morale. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Just been out and bought myself a nice pair of 36" jeans. I think I've said that all my current '36"' fit, but I think they stretched after so much use, and I couldn't be bothered waiting till next saturday for my mum to drive me there so I biked out and bought some today. :) I haven't tried them on yet, almost certain they wont fit but I'll get into them eventually. Will post back here when I've tried them.

The jeans fit :B I'm sooo happy right now x) Now I can ask for jeans for Christmas without worrying about them not fitting haha, amg!

December 2nd - 226.4lbs

Slight weight loss I guess. Finding it hard again as the scales the 2nd time I weighed myself said 230, third time - 229 and then every other time 226.4 so I figured the other 2 must have just been false readings. :) Not much to say about today, went for a short bike, not as long as usual but I actually skipped breakfast and dinner by accident. Still feeling good about my diet, the jeans I said fit seem a little too tight on the behind after biking in them :p They are perfectly fine in the house, running or even walking but as soon as I got on my bike I could tell they were a bit tight. Just my luck :p I'll be trying them on weekly as I can't be far away from them being the perfect size since they fit normally.

December 3rd - 224.8

On the third day of Christmas I'm just 0.8lbs from my original target! I was rather worried as I got on my scaled and they told me 224.8, I then got on again and they went up to 228. I got dressed, tried again, 227.6 - undressed again as it made no sense - 229. No idea what's going on so I went downstairs and hopped on the mechanical scales and they were inbetween 16.1 stone and 16stone - which is 224.8! So I'm really glad, but really hating the stupid expensive scales I bought at the same time. I never did any intensive exercise today, just went out biking with some friends - was around 20miles probably but at a slow pace/not constant pedaling like usual as we like to talk as we bike.
