Hey Naif - sorry to hear U are having a "sucky" day -

~ but GOOD Work

~still squeezing in some exercise & good food choices ( even on a "bored with it" day)

- & just remember - this is not forever, once at goal weight - change to "maintenace" ( ....oh my - just listen to me- able to even "consider" the idea - maintenance....too funny )-but it's starting to become a thought & image in the back of my mind )....

- I would think ( & hope) that this really-hard work of losing - eases up for maintenance...daily exercise will just be "habit" at that point - and calories more generous, less hunger - our bodies are smart - they know if we are "squeezing" them to lose some weight, or feeding them "just right" to maintain it....I can hardly wait - ...

...

wishing you a good "exercisy" week too Naif ( & good good work keeping it going - even on an "off" day )

cheers,

Maryann

You're doing amazing Naif!!

So sorry you didn't sleep well, that always ruins me for a couple days. It's amazing how sleep can affect us so much.

I get bored with "weightloss and dieting" too. However I've found if I keep my portions small I can eat lots of different things which help with boring food choices. Does your partner go on walks with you? When I'm in a rut I find it's nice to be able to have someone around me to motivate me.

Congrats on the new suit. I'm still waiting to see any change in my body, so I'm very jealous you have had such a positive change. It's all from your hard work! Nice job!

Thanks everyone for your posts! I will write a proper update later, I have been rather sick and flu-like and spent the majority of the last four or five days in bed... except when I had to get up and go to work :( time for more snoozing, hope everyone is feeling better than me!

Thanks MaryAnn :) I woke up yesterday feeling refreshed and energetic for the first time in weeks :) I blame all the students I come into contact with - think I had five continents worth of flu ! Hope everyone else is super! Here is how the whole 28 days went, sadly, the last couple weeks I didn't get very much exercise in at all (too sick!), but I'm feeling so much better now, so slowly easing myself into it..

Thanks PEC :) and sorry for the late reply! Hope everything is great with you - will drop by your diary later :hurray:

Just the briefest of updates, as of the 23rd November I weigh 210lbs meeting my target some 38 days early. YAY for dieting :) Nothing much has changed fasting very occasionally, keeping calories low and exercising a bit :) Hope everyone is super!

I suppose I should plan my way to my final goal weight (182lbs) :S

Hey Naif - nice to see your update & congrat's on the 210lbs. target @ 38 days early! way to rock dude !!

I am chugging along ok too - not too speedy - but have managed to drop a few pounds- and have found a calorie and exercise routine that I can tolerate ( 30-60mins exercise/day) ( 1,600 cals alternating 1,200 cals) ( most weekdays) that is allowing me some weight loss- but not causing me too much grief.

Keep up your good-work & wishing you healthy eats & lots of exercise for the upcoming food-fest Xmas season...

This is really good to read. I just joined and started IF 5 days ago. The first few days were tough, but now I can honestly say I feel great. I've lost 4lbs in just over a week and I'm finding it much easier to control my calories. I'm on 1600cal a day, in a 6 hour eating window, so I fast for 18 hours each day.

The benefits seem great and my mood and energy/concentration levels have doubled.

You're success has cemented my faith in IF even more, well done.
