injury prevention

a month or tow ago I strated feeling pain in my shoulder and couldn't seem to shake it. I am now nursing it and my left hip is starting to hurt. is there anything that I can add to my diet or do to strenthen my joints up? The bad thing is I haven't lifted weights at all for a few weeks and havent done upper body exercises for probubly a month and some of my joints feel horrible.
 
Resistance training if the single best way to strengthen bones.

Through diet, here are two simple supplements
Fish oils supplements, Calcium(that contains BOTH Magnesium, and D).

Though it sounds like you might have been doning the movements wrong. Also age,sex,fitness would help.
 
Sorry, I'm 28 a male and have been lifting for almost 10 years. I ran cross country and track in high school. I am 5'9" and about 185 lb's
