hiya nave,

i already have those dvds, although not really had a proper crack at the proper power of three one yet, maybe tomoras job!

Well today has been erm, a really really hard day, but also a really good one. Really hard becuse although morning exercise does mean i get a buzz early in the day it leaves me blooming tired in the afternoon, I had a bit of a uni panic, I had massive cravings for chocolate/crisps/sweeties/pastries/pizzas the works, I then had a really really busy and shitty shift at work, so the cravings intensified, adn the opportunity was immense (i work in a supermarket, so had it all right there and available) So, to the good bit, even tho i wanted it, i didnt have it, any of it. I instead snacks on sunflower seeds, and ok had more to eat in the day than on a normal one, BUT this is real progress for me :)

TODAY'S ROUNDUP

Up 7.15 - 30mins walk/jog in park

Brekkie - 8.30am
Porridge with blueberries and banana
Coffee

Snack 9.50 - satsumas n some sunflower seeds

Lunch 12 noon, ham, a bit of mayo and salad deli wrap, melon.

4pm another wrap like the one at lunch.

5pm-10pm work - sunflower seeds on break

10.30pm supper - a pretty rank tin of pasta n sauce, 188 cals, 4.8g fat.

So, not great, but not half as bad as it could, and until very recently would have been.

Now, I am looking forward to getting in my bed, my eyes are tired and my body aches, but it feels kinda good :S

I stayed off the scales today too, another one of my aims from yest, so im pleased with that, and will repeat that aim for tomora, and all week until next monday,

I TOTALLY understand the supermarket, wanting-to-eat-crap issue! I've posted about it before in my diary. Especially when the shift has been long/stressful/tiring, and it is all there, it is SO hard, so WELL done for being so strong!!! :jump:

Well today, I am feeling rubbish, think i have picked a virus type thing from somewhere, last night was really hot n tired at work n a bit achy, but put it down to early starts and exercise n thought nothing of it, But today, my eyes are really really heavy, every part of me is sore to touch and my throat is burning up, so, im living off lemon sorbet so far, and soft food, i defo have no energy to exercise rigerously or to do my bloody uni work, not the time for this!

Will plod on but gottta take it easy today,

Bad day today. Been bloody hard work, feeling god damn poorly, and seem to have slipped back into comfort eating, but, had no choccie, crisps, cakes, pastries etc, managed to keep my overeating healthy. Had a really bad day ont eh revision and uni front, so, praying i wake up feeling better tomora n can get back on track..............

Aw hon I am sorry, I hope you feel better today!

Well today im not 100% but not half as bad as yest, spending the day in uni, think I need to get outta my room here, n the uni library offers such an exciting change of scenery, hmmmmm!!

Made a yummy tiger prawn salad for lunch, planning ahead for a rice crispy cake with a coffee break at some point, yum yum!! (havent had any 'bad' snacks AT ALL so far since a few sweets on SUnday, so think i deserve it!)

Just gonna do my walking today probably, got so so so much to do today until monday not sure that I will fit much execise in, but will try. From then on things are far less manic, so will get back into exercise bigtime, I crave the day i am fit!

hey,
when u have bad days, try to eat salads.. this is what i do..

whenever iam expecting a huge carving..( esp; grocery shopping day) i eat a lot of salad or have a protein shake..befre i leave my apartment n it works..

dont fall for mental games.. our mind wants to control our body..U better catch up ..dont let it decide whats good or bad for ur body..

i have similar problem with my smoking habit..i am trying to get rid of it soon...
my BMRate wud fall cos of lack of smoking.. but its okay. btw the time i would be in 180ies n wud be more energtic than before..

Just wanted to say fair play for working so hard during your exams... I know whenever I've done them its been an excuse to pig out! I really admire your focus!

Exams...booo. I typically do less than fantastic (in other words, awful) on my dieting and exercise in times of high stress such as those.

Good luck holding it all together, and good luck on your exams as well.
 
Thanks everyone for your lovely messages!! Well, the last two days have been manic, but handed in my last ever assignment this afternoon, so feeling far more positive now!!

Yesterday I was in the library from 9.30 am to 1am, and did quite a bit of snacking, but not too badly, tried to keep it healthy and had good main meals.

I was back in again today at 8.30am, and stayed til about 3.30pm. took no food or snacks with me, so have done awfully! Had crispy buns, pork panani, sweeties and crips. N tonight i am ordering a chinese, because there is no food in the house n i NEED something scrummy! Am going for a healthy option though, no crackers, fried rice etc, n will be back on the band wagon in a huge way tomora, already written my shopping list, and cannot wait to get exercising again. Wanted to do a workout dvd but i am feeling so tired i just cant manage it.

So a couple of hours of revision and then sleeeeeeepppp tonight, and up and back on track in a massive way tomora :)

got my chinese, and felt stuffed really quickly, so i did a thing i dont normally, I stopped eating when i felt full, rather than wen all the food was gone, yay!

Thats awesome! I usually eat till its all gone, just always have.. I need to change that, but the line between full and when its all gone is thin for me. I just need to watch more closely - I know how much cal's it is so I just eat and eat till its all gone. hehe

Another day with no exercise, another day with too much food. But i did stock up on the right foods again today, so i am focused again, yay! I know on monday i will have gained, since thurs i have lost all focus, well no, i have still been thinking about my new lifestyle, conciously realising everytime i ate something that i shouldnt, but it worked out that i had too, because of rubbish prior planning and my uni having NO healthy options in the evening.

TODAY,

Breakfast, porridge

Lunch, pasta, grilled bacon, spring onion and peas and tomato

Snack, 1 egg bacon omelete

Snack, pasta n sauce packet meal

a bit of choccie at work.

My first exam is monday, tomora is gonna be a mad day, a fruit filled day! I also have work in the morning, great.

Monday i have exam, and then in the afternoon need to revise for the second one.

Tuesday revise all day for wednesdays exam.

Wednesday exam two, then the madness baits, third exam not until the monday after, and fourth not until tuesday after.

I will be kind on myself til wednesday, do what i can, but at the end of the day my exams have to come before my desire to be thin. I havent been doing this long enough for it not to take a lot of planning and a lot of time to thik about it everyday, i cant do that until after my first two exams, but i will try, and try hard to keep close to the track.

Hey Kate! You are very right about your exams, they are the first priority and you just gotta hang in there and do what you can til they are over! My first is tomorrow too-GOOD LUCK!! :eek:
 
Thanks Kez :) That is exactly how im thinking, but after tomora i'll be able to breath a little n get some exercise in (please please stop raining!!)

Well, today, food hasnt been so bad, no exercise again, but with exam cramming and a shift at work, had no time to do anything else!

PS, i am almost positive i have gained this week, n it will be no suprise at all. My jeans seem tighter, so i will have to work all teh harder after these exams

YAY!!! lost 1lb, am kinda shocked about that, think it must be nervous energy burning the fat!!

Well, i've been up since five, cant cram anymore, so chilling out for an hour before i go into uni. Determined to get back on the exercise band wagon today, and to get in my five a day, to try and shake off this run down feeling,

Well, the exam went 'ok' glad its over, the others shouldnt be as bad, and its given me the push i need to get on with revising for the rest.

Today i had a major slip up of sousage, hash brown n beans for my SECOND brekkie when i met my pals in uni, so made lunch n making tea extra healthy to try and compensate, the weather is awful so no outdoor exercise for lil old fair weather me!! But, i will do davina dvd later,

Hey hon glad the exam went OK!

Well done for losing despite little exercise etc- let's keep thinking how much easier this is all going to be in that mythical time 'after exams'!! If we can do it now we can do it any time :) Your food looked very healthy yesterday too!

Breakfast 5.30am EKKK!!
porridge, fresh orange (while cramming at home)

Breakfast 8.45am whoops!
2 sausage, 2 hash browns and beans (in the uni bar, group cramming session!)

Lunch 1.30pm
chicken and salad multigrain sandwiches (2 bread buns)

Dinner 6pm
homemade chili tomato seafood sauce with a bit of pasta n green veggies

Supper 9pm
petit filous yoghurt
2 satsumas
1 plum

Exercise
sit ups and bum toning exercises
mopped kitchen (this was harder work than the workout, it was MINGING!!)
20 mins dance workout

Had a good day, exam went pretty well, eatings gone pretty well, exercise ok.

TOMORROW
I have a day in the library doing group revision. Early in the morning will either do workout or go to the park for walk/jog session. Will make a tuna salad to take in for lunch. Will walk to and from uni weather depending, will snack on fruit only, even in uni.

Glad your exams are going well i am glad i dont have any!!!

You are doing so well planning everything out i think i will take a leaf out of your book and start a paper food and exercise diary and that way i can get my other half to help keep me on the right tracks

eeekkkk i been snowed under, not had chance to get on here, todays exam went pretty damn well :D

and next one not til monday, so a bit of breathing space.

Must admit last couple of days not really kept note of what ive been eating, but its been ok.

Will be back posting properly tomora x
 
Fair play for doing so well! We all have slip-ups when we're stressed so I think you're doing amazingly! WEll done and keep it up!
