I'm tired of being shaped like a potato

Hi jeff,

The title of your journal caought my eye, so thought i'd take a look. Looks like you are doing really well, and the invention of 'flabtastic' has had me giggling!

Good luck in reaching your goals,

Kato x

Flabtastic is quite a great word I must say ;). Sounds like you did a good job! The free bread KILLS me! No matter what kind or where - I loooove free bread, so GREAT WORK :D

Hi Jeff; there you are...I couldn't find your diary last night ... must have been searching wrong. I love tasting the flabtastic "free-ness" of food. Oh my gawd, I LOVE that word. Inventing words is great fun. tee hee

Today's weight: 215.8. Ever so slight nudge upward. I'm still expecting that larger upswing based on my normal patterns and my scale's tendency to round in odd ways. I'm got my eye on you...scale.

I'm glad you're all entertained by my newest invention. I have a clever, often odd and quirky sense of humor and can't resist sharing it with the world. If you're a regular reader, you can expect to become acquainted with it.

Kato: Thanks!

Sunshine: It was white mountain bread, too. I worked in a bakery for three years, and that is some of the best bread ever made.

Blancita: Nope, I haven't got my pedometer working. I've pretty much lost interest in it.

Thanks for reading, everyone!

I like the name of your diary. Last year my college roommate and I were talking about our body shapes and I blurted out that I have the shape of a sack of potatoes... so seeing your headline makes me giggle everytime I read it.

Wow! I'm very proud of you for the bread-resistance then! lol.

Scales are truly nasty devices - sadly I can't live without mine.
Hope you have a great day!! I wore a pedometer to work once when I was working in a car factory, and I stepped so many times it reset back to 0. lol.

~Nic~

Today's weight: 215.6. Holding steady, which is great, as I would have expected it to swing up.

Nothing exciting to report today.

I'm feeling very blah about how long it takes to make any real progress and how long it will take me to achieve my end goal. I try and not spend much time thinking about how long it will take and focus on the progress I've made, but it's not helping much today. There isn't anything to do but keep on going in spite of how I feel, so that's what I'll do.

Deanna, I hope your workout is going well.

I know, when you're working really hard and the pounds are coming off soooo slowly, it's really hard to be motivated! BUT I like to set small goals within my larger goals - like five pound goals. That way I can have little celebrations along the way - I find it helps keep me on track, or else the long term goals seem SOooo far off.

Stay positive! ANd you're doing a great job!

Man did I ever fall off the face of the earth.

Things haven't been going all that well and I haven't felt like posting. I've decided that I don't really want to share my daily weight on the message boards. I'm currently evaluating what would work best for me. I might move towards a daily exercise or dieting success/failure method instead. We shall see. I'm taking a break for the time being. I feel blah and I need some time to not worry about my weight.

Hope you perk up soon Jeff. Dont worry about your weight but do try to keep up some of your healthy habits as they will definitely help uplift you in the end. I was really surprised when I just looked at your ticker at your loss, so I think you're doing great! Hope you find something that works for you and that you're feeling better soon.
