Monday (1) + (1) + (1) = (3) BFAST: oatmeal; LUNCH: chicken soup and lots of water throughout the day; DINNER: Large salad w/ iceberg lettuce, red cabbage, carrots, 1/2 cup beets, 1 1/2 cups of black beans and green tea.
Worked out hard on the treadmill...45 min on uphill incline all the way and I tried running here and there! I'm determined to RUN now! 30 min weight training...

i know....such a challenge! i was running in 30 sec intervals...maybe a minute max! I SUCK AT RUNNING...but i'm determined to get it down somehow!

Alta was whippingggggg it out though. trooopppeerr!
 
Sushi accomplished!

Soooooooo...took Alta to this awesome sushi hole-in-the-wall spot last night...and it was amazing! Raw fish, seaweed, pickled ginger and green tea makes me a HAPPY HAPPY WOMAN! I'm just glad she enjoyed it. I was a little full after leaving but I managed to rollerblade for 1hr when I got home.

So yesterday I ate....BFAST: cottage cheese and green grapes, LUNCH: green salad with 4 meatballs and seasame oil dressing on the side and a fuji apple, DINNER: sushi and green tea. I had some liquor...HENNESSEY...about 2 shots worth and hung out with some friends after sushi. Not enough sleep I must say...only 6 hours. I've got to work on that.

I love the way you get in your exercise. It always sounds like you are doing something you enjoy which is HUGE!! Keep up the momentum girlie, I'm truly inspired :)
 
Thanks lovely...talk about inspiring...I was running on Monday! Running! I literally thought about how you said you weren't a runner before but now you're doing marathons...that's what I'm talking about. Maybe one day...I'll make it even close to running for 5 minutes straight. I'm going to attempt running again tonight. Wish me luck!

OOUUUU!! Do it girlie! I don't think I have ever run 5 miles w/out a pit stop for water or to go to the bathroom. I love to download a new song or two before my long runs and make a special play list that I can run to. It's my alone time to reflect on myself, my life, my goals, and everything in general. It's really addicting and although tiring I find it really rewarding.

WAY TO GO!! Keep at it. And make sure you have GOOD running shoes or your feet will start barking when you pick up longer distances.
 
WORD! I do need some new kicks. I popped the bubble in my fav pair of Nikes. I think that will be my mission this weekend...to find a good pair of running or cross training shoes.

I looked up this cellulite challenge promoted by Nivea and they have cool workout tips and exercises . I did the "bikini circuit"...not bad I must say. I'm also going to try out the product. Who knows! I need all the help I can get with my all time ENEMY...MS. CELLULITE :ack2::ack2::ack2::ack2:!!!!!!!!

I like that....I'm SURE if I could EVER REALLY follow these plans, and RUB their lotion, and REALLY do it TO A "T" I would be where I wanna be, worrying only about MAINTENANCE....I'm gonna look into their product, and the workouts......I LIKE!!! ;)

...and UM ....by the WAY...I don't KNOW IF YOU NOTICED....but....YOU HAVE no CELLULITE woman.....were YOU LOOKING at my LEGS and NOT YOURS.....HELLOOOO!!!

...but I have tried one cellulite cream from AVON, but of course, like everything else, I discontinued the USE, after like 2 rubs and still CELLULITE....:smilielol5:.....duh ALTA!!!

Thanks Trops! in light of your lovely comment...i totally blew it last night. my girls called me up and convinced me to hit up hollywood for a night of drunken debauchery that I COULD NOT RESIST. one of my girls is here for the summer from law school at northwestern and we NEEDED to blow some steam. BOY DID WE EVER! if you're ever in LA...OPERA on thursday is a cool as spot to hit up. crowd is mixed not jam packed but just enough ppl to get the party goin! i'm still DRUNK....oh man.....we were such lazy bums that we taxi'd it everywhere and didn't even man up the walk. we'd never last in NYC. my feet are still killing me though! anyway, the night ended up at denny's and i'm just glad i ended up with 3 cups of black coffee instead of the sampler! YAHHH FOR ME...but i probably made all the cals up in the alchy i stomached! 4 vodka tonics! and a shot of patron. my goodness where a night of free drinks will get ya!

anyway, it's all to the good. i'm going to bikram yoga tonight to get it all out. the only good thing i did yesterday was eat well. got in my fiber.

DINNER: shrimp w/ green beans & yellow squash...sauteed with garlic/onion YUM and two small small pieces of beef
NIGHT CAP: 4 vodka tonics, shot of patron & 3 cups of black coffee w/ 2 splendas each cup

It's great that you were able to hang out w/the girls and cut loose. That is what life is truly about. Working hard 95% of the time, but then taking the 5% to take a break and really enjoy life w/out feeling guilty. Its about picking up where you left off and forging ahead...consistency my friend :)

I'm hoping when I see Alta tonight that we don't totally blow it on the drinking and eating. I know both her and I love our booze and I'm going to try really hard to limit it to one drink w/a low cal mixer. Maybe just a straight shot of patron w/a wedge of lime. I have to drive home from SF to San Jose so I can't let myself get wasted.

As for the shoes...I highly suggest going to a specialized running store that will get you into a shoe that is specific to your needs. I've talked w/Alta about this before but it is crucial to get a shoe that will fix any pronation in your gate or any other issues (high arches, flat arches). If you want to start running longer distances it can make you or break you. I just bought a new pair last Sunday. It feels like I am running on pillows. I love them. I'm going to break them in officially on Sunday at my 1/2 marathon!! Hopefully I don't experience any rubbing or blistering.

I couldn't agree more...work/play HARD...what a challenge...consistency!?! I'm totally going to GOOGLE such running store you speak of so highly...ALTA have you found any? Maybe we can go together and you can show me a thing or two about running. Good luck on the marathon...I know you'll breeeeezzeee right thru it!
