I'm stuck at 155

Hello, Im 23 years old, and recently started having a new sick obsession with my weight. I’ve been overweight mostly my whole teenage life. I’ve recently buckled down and started paying attention to my body. I use to be 198 at my worse and than hit the 180’s and could not budge - now I’m down to 155 and fluctuate between a few pounds. I want to lose 15 pounds which will make a big difference, I’ve been trying hard and go to the gym about 4 times a week and push myself, but it’s just not coming off as it should. I recently was told I have a thyroid problem, so I’m just thinking its that. Don’t know if someone has any suggestions on what to do… Im considering a liquid diet to get it off, because its easy for me to maintain.

Thanks guy.
(I have some pictures attached) First picture was at my worse and the 2 other pictures are most recent of me.

A liquid diet is a terrible idea. How many calories are you eating? I think you look great the way you are! Just take it slow, it wont happen over night. Be strict with no take-outs, booze and stuff like that and up the exercise you're doing at the gym maybe. Don't go extreme and do a liquid diet!

I completely agree with Sunflower. And girl - I would love to be "stuck" with a body like that. I hope hope hope to get to that point one day! You look great. I want to be just 'slightly' curvy like how you look now. To me - that is perfection.

Hey

Hey,

All a liquid diet is, is low calories with no nutrition. So bad. You should try re-evaluating waht you are eating. You have lost weight, so the amount you need/can eat may have changed. Try writing everything down for a week. The amount of calories etc. Then based on that "start over again". If you know waht I mean. I found I was stuck at a certain number, so I ended up upping my protein and then going back to how much i was eating and got off of the slump. My body jsut needed a running push. That could also be an option. Just burn/use more than you are intaking.

Thank you guys, I figured a liquid diet wouldnt be smart nor a long lasting solution for my weight loss. I feel like stress, work, and same gym regiment is what is holding me still.... But, I should be happy with the results ive gotten so far.

How long have you been stuck? The last 13lbs for me took 3 months to take off and that was working out 6-7 days a week with 1200 calorie a day food in take. When you get close to a healthy weight it can take a hell of a long time to loose even 1lb.

Is your thyroid HYPER or HYPO? How tall are you? Have you talked to a doctor to get an idea where you body weight should be and what is healthy for you?

Also you look great :)

Thank you very much..... I just need a change at the gym, my gym is small and doesnt have much to offer.... so i might change up and do classes.... I eat healthy and small portions. My thyroid is hypo.....Its soooo hard I have no idea how to make it budge. Im 5'5 and im only maybe per BMI count like a few pounds over weight.... but, I look average.

Have to correct you here... You don't look average you look SMOKING HOT :)

Hypothyroid can make loosing weight very difficult, but your can do attitude is amazing. Did your endocrinologist prescribe a thyroid medication to help balance you out? Since your thyroid being out of whack can cause fatigue, depression, etc.

Changing up the routine not only can jump start things but make working out fun again. When you get so close and see little scale movement it can just become sooooo hard to keep doing the same thing over and over. At least it was for me.

*super high fives* I know you can do what you set your mind to!

Thank you for your encouragement, I never knew weight loss and image was so important until I got into my late teens.... Now I wish I had someone pushing me to lose weight and get into shape. I feel like Im suffering now and obessing over a body that some people wish they had. I dont know maybe its the way hollywood makes people feel. Being 120 pounds is fat. I dont know what these psychos are thinking these days. The doctor changed up my diet a little and made it glueten free. But, I dont think it's making a difference in weight, maybe in inches. But, I want to see more. I guess I will not self obsess and try to incorporate healthy eating into my life and not make it the topic of discussion all the time.
