im on the edge of quitting :S

I don't have MSN, and maybe you should stop pressing until you correct your possible impingement.

Go see a sports medicine doctor. Go read up everything on shoulder health on

You're also probabally using to much range of motion on your flyes. But what the others said...fix yourself.

would it not be safe if i made up a chest exercise which tenses the chest/arms
and i feel comfortable doing it

i was thinking of lying on a flat bench with my arms streched behind my head paralle to the floor with dumbell in each hand. then lift the dumbells 180 degrees in a clockwise direction untill they touch ur bottocks and hold it there. i did this and it reallly tenses ur chest muscle

wondering if it was safe to do it ?

Just avoiding having your arms too far back. Put an imaginary bar in your hand like you're bench pressing and bring it all the way down to your chest. Now extend your arms fully. You don't want to be that far back for flys, that will kill your shoulders, so less than that at least. I'm not really sure about the exercise you're talking about, I'm having trouble picturing what you're doing.

i have been doing loads of rotator cuff exercises for about 3 months now but i still end up hurting it maybe flies are not made for me, cause i was stuck under 70kg for 5 mins whilst performing bench press like 3 days ago and my rotator cuffs didnt hurt at all, infact the next morning it felt like i had done some intense chest workout when i only did 1/2 rep of bench press :p

also is it possible for me to get ur msn mreik and everyone else
Ok another possibility. Can you ask someone to monitor your form in the gym.
I say that because that is what happened to me. I lifted a weight I should asked someone to pick and hand it to me rather than me trying to lift it from the floor.
