Im New & Im Chubby

Hi all,

I am so glad I found this forum. I am 18 and a 147 pounds. I'm not obese, but I hate the way I look in clothes and when I'm in the shower. I have this bulging belly look and I want it GONE!!!! I know its only 10 pounds, but I love pop, love to eat, and don't have any motivation to exercise. Please help guys. I have a picture from about 2-3 years ago, but I can say I about look like that now (belly wise) maybe a little bigger now. Dont mind me being stupid hiding behind the book, but look at that nasty belly. I also am not skinny or confident enough to wear a bikini without a shirt over me. Please motivate me and please tell me your secrets of losing a quick 5 or 10 pounds. I am the type that if I dont see results right away.....I give up. I guess thats why Im in this situation now. :banghead:
 
there really is no such thing as quick weight loss if you expect it to stay off... and the only person to motivate yourself is you... ask yourself why you want to drop a few pounds...

If you want todo it safely, and healthily, read aroudn the forum especially the exercise and nutrition portions, and you'll get a lot of good information

You need to get past the quick fix diet mentality and work on a lifestyle change where you change your habits... once you do that you will get the results you are after

Welcome and good luck to you! There is some great advice to be found on this forum. You will need to change some things in your life in order to lose any weight and keep it off. You're already lovely - best wishes on your journey to a flatter belly!

Oh, wasn't sure since you said 10 pounds (I have lost 40).

Well, I eat VERY healthy. I'm very firm with myself. Drink 10 glasses of water daily. Take a multi-vitamin. Work out at the gym five days per week and walk my dog dog for at least and hour EVERY day. I was taking a belly dancing class but, recently stopped because I'm moving to another state.
 
Water[8-10 a day], and daily exercise for a month lost me my first 10 pounds.
You look fine now in my opinion! It looks like you have the little belly everyone has, its fat for pregnancy I do believe.
