I never lost anymore after I lost just 6pounds.
I have definitely given up fully now, and hating myself even more than I already do for not loosing weight.
I don't understand why I never lost anymore weight.
I work out a lot as it because of softball.
I am now back to my regular eating which consists mostly of chocolate. :(
I have no idea what to do or what to make me motivated.
I am greatly disappointed in myself.
I still weight 148 at the height of 5'5. maybe 2 pounds over i haven't weighed myself and it just makes me depressed to see that every week I never lost any weight. Whats the point if the pounds aren't coming off?

Please give me advice? I am terrible lost. Thanks :)

The first thing I'd suggest is figuring out how many calories you need to be eating by reading this thread: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/nutrition/40273-how-many-calories-should-i-eat.html

Then register for a free account on FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal or Calorie Counter, Diet Tracking, Food Journal, Nutrition Facts at The Daily Plate and start to log your food. This will let you see how many calories you're eating and how your nutrition levels are breaking down. Once you know that, you'll be able to see more clearly where you can make adjustments, cut back, change your nutrition, etc.

The next thing I'd suggest is checking out the various sticky posts in the exercise area of the forum (Weight Loss Through Exercise - Weight Loss Forum). There are some very good posts on exercise, both cardio/aerobic and on incorporating weight lifting into your exercise plans.

I'd also suggest starting a diary in the weight loss diary area (Weight Loss Diary - Weight Loss Forum) as well as reading and participating in other diaries. This is a good way to make updates to your progress and to get support from others. It helps to find the diaries of people who have successfully lost weight (or are losing weight) and reading through them as well. Following the diaries of those who have been successful is both inspiring and informative.

Finally, I'd say you should read as much as you can of the posts on the board, especially anything that's marked "sticky". There is a ton of good information around here and a lot of times questions that new folks have has already been answered very thoroughly - so do take the time to look around and read. :)

Hope that helps you to get started.

Hi Cierracakes!!!!

For starters what were you doing before to lose weight? Can you give us some examples so we can see where you may have been going wrong? Like what exercise you were doing, what you were eating, were you calorie counting, etc...

I exercised everyday and it depended on what I did in sports and during the weekend I would get exercise in because of softball games.
I ate 1200 calories a day and i did keep a food log
and then I switched to weight watchers and did that and logged food.
both didn't work though
Is that enough info?

I would suggest signing up for a free account with fitday.com or similar and put all your details in so see how many calories you actually burn in a day then make a deficit from there. I'm 5'7 and around 146lbs and with the exercise I do I burn around 3000 cals a day, so I shouldn't eat below 2000- unless it's a non- exercise day. So you may find that you need to up your cals a bit. There's more info on the stickys as Kara pointed out.
Also maybe aim to just exercise 5-6 days a week rather than every day so your body has time to rest and repair itself.

Good luck, hope I helped you a little! The most important thing is consistancy... Stick with it, be accountable for everything you do... You will see results!
