ILM: Workouts, Ruminations and Perv Lounge (Come One, Come All)

Had physio, things are progressing nicely :) Slowly, but nicely ...

No warmup. Didn't have time.

Squats:
1x8 @125
1x10 @150
1x10 @175

Lunges:
3x10 w/35lb DBs

Hamstring Curls:
3x10 @ 100lbs

Planks:
Held regular planks for 2 minutes, alternating lifting each leg and each arm independently for 10 seconds. Did 3 sets of those.

Side planks held for 1.5 minutes x 3 with leg lifted.

Did some oblique work.

Stretched legs gently ... I'm about 25° away from the side splits. Could do the front splits on each leg and could get both legs up to my ears. So the massage is working! :hurray:
 
I've got another massage lined up for me tonight for my upper back. Apparently my infraspinatus (one of the rotator cuff components) is a little tight in my left shoulder -- I had acupuncture last night and when my physiotherapist stuck the needle in, my infraspinatus grabbed onto the needle and it felt liked it pulled it in another .5" :D

Just a little tight ... so it needs some TLC (aka the evil DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE!)

This time it will feel fabulous because it's well padded in there :)

Don't know if I'll have time for a quick workout beforehand. I'd like to do some lat work, but right now I can only do bent over rows.

Steve: I'll catch up with you on your body improvements forum -- I need to ask you a question about lat work that doesn't stress out the bicep.
 
I got to the gym about 30 minutes early for my massage appointment so I could try out the new exercises that Steve suggested for my lats (that didn't use the bicep).

I had never done straight arm lat pulldowns, pushdowns or rack pulls, so I tinkered with the weight, and the pulldowns/pushdowns 80 pounds felt good, and on the rack pulls, I started out with 135lbs. I didn't want to go too heavy because of my SI issue. It was a decent weight for me, but I could probably do more. I'll work up to a reasonable weight in a couple of months :)

I was so stoked to be able to do something with my lats again! I felt like a warrior :coolgleamA:

About 4-5% bodyfat less than I am now and at least 10 more pounds of muscle. So I figure about another year of working out.

I also have boobage which doesn't seem to want to go away.

I just can't injure myself again. I've been striving to attain that physique for the past 4 years. Unfortunately, for the past 3 years, I've been in rehab. This has forced me to take what steps I can to workout a lot smarter now :)

I don't mind planks. You really feel it in your core, especially when you're doing 3 point planks :D I've seen people doing 2 point planks at the gym. That would be hard ... I certainly can't do that yet!

I'll give you 2/3 of my boobage. I wear a 36C bra (although my chest is 42" -- I think they measure you under your boobs and that's what size bra you wear). Anyway, you can have them. I hate them. They get in the way of everything and they sweat in hot weather. They're an absolute pain, Stacy!

Then I'll be a 36A, which is perfect for me, and you can be a 34D :)

If only they could do that ...

So I was talking to Travis last night and he mentioned he'd shaved off his goatee. So I said

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

And he said "I didn't know you liked it that much. I'll grow it back for ya." How could he NOT have known? I was fawning over it all the time ... I guess I needed to say "Travis, I really love your goatee, don't ever shave it off."

Although in all fairness, I was pretty much fawning over ALL OF HIM. So I can't really blame him for thinking it was just the goatee ...

So the good news is we'll all be together come February 13 for a week :hurray: We agreed that each one of us gets to plan our activities for 3 days.

I hope they like what I've got planned ... I'm trying to cover the fun and food bases ... I'm a real food freak. Despite the fact my diet is usually quite boring, I love to cook and bake, so this will be fun for me :)

Friday night will be spent just hanging at my place. I'll make my Red Velvet Chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese icing so we can indulge in that after din-din. Travis gets in a little later, so I'm planning on doing up some beef ribs with BBQ sauce and lots of fresh veggies :) YUM!

Saturday is Valentine's Day, so lots of nice, romantic stuff going on there. and a really nice dinner for the boys. I'm thinking rack of lamb with garlic and rosemary, some little red, yellow and blue potatoes roasted up in olive oil and fresh herbs, steamed broccoli and cauliflower and roasted acorn squash with cinnamon and brown sugar (yeah, I know ... VERY BAD!). Dessert will be creme caramel (AGAIN, VERY BAD!) and me (DEFINITELY NOT BAD! :Angel_anim:) :smilielol5:

I've arranged for us to all go snowshoeing in Banff on February 15. It should be a good time. I hope the weather holds up. Then we'll drive back to Cowtown around 5:00pm and hang at my place

Monday we'll go to Matt's place to hang. I can't wait to see what Matt has in store for us.

Tonight I plan on having a workout ... but I've got to pick something up on my way home, then go grocery shopping, and hopefully I'll get to the gym by 8:00 or 8:30. They close at 10:00, so I'll have to get everything done fast! :D

That's about it for now ...

Crap. I didn't have time to get to the gym tonight. I didn't get home until 9:00pm from the grocery store.

I just finished dinner. It's 10:21pm. Another full day of pretty much useless shit.

I'll work out tomorrow. I think I'll have a full body workout at about 80%. That should be OK and it will set me up for the weekend. The plan is to have another workout on Sunday. Then I have to get back into my regular routine or I'll NEVER get the body I want.

I have no idea how many calories I've eaten today. All I know is that I ate 150gms of carbs :D That's because I ate two cupcakes. They went straight to my tits :p

That's about it for today. Bedtime is eminent ...

Because I worked late and then I had to stop off at the mall and pick up something. Then I went home, stuffed my face full of cottage cheese and some raspberries, and then went grocery shopping.

It took me over an hour at the grocery store because people kept getting in my way ... I HATE grocery shopping :banghead:
