If You Fail Try Again...

Random thoughts

So I really like working out in the morning. It makes me feel like I accomplished something right away in the morning, and I feel like I make good choices all day because of that. BUT.. I am working 10:15-7:30ish right now. So I go to the gym at 8am. By the time I get home, get showered and finally able to "relax" aka watch my shows on Hulu and catch up on my 50 food blogs, its time for bed! Like right now, its 11:30 and I don't think I've been up this late all week! And I'm panicking inside that I won't be able to get up right away in the morning because I'm an hour and a half past my "bedtime" to make it to the gym. Oh boy, big problems in Ashley's life :) haha.

So this morning at the gym my calves were KILLING me on the elliptical. Need to do more stretches! Also need to start lifting weights again. I got some arm blubber that could really start shrinking.

Well now that I'm a few weeks into the challenges(came in dead last in my work challenge.. can't wait til next week when its not water weight for them.. all had AT LEAST -5lb week.) And by now I was really hoping to have lost more. Especially with how much I've been working out and eating right. I think I need to cut some of the carb-age out. I am a carb-aholic! Love em! :) So I think I need to lay off little by little. Still want to have my oats in the morning, I am famished all day if I dont. They are the only thing that truly tides me over for more than 3 hours.

I've been thinking, with the work challenge, which is 6 months long.. if I lose 2lbs per week, I could possibly lose up to 50lbs by the end of it. Just got to keep going. I know, I've said it as well, its not going to come off over night just like I didn't put it on over night. But damnit there are somedays I was able to put on 5lbs in a day! Cant it come off like that!? :) Anyways! lol

Hope you all have a great night, Im going to get to bed now. Love you all.

Uggh, I hate getting up in the morning to work out. I'm such a night person- thank god everyone that uses the same gym as me is the opposite :) I've actually really been enjoying my weights, too. My bingo wings aren't getting smaller YET, but they are getting stronger, and I know that I'm on my way to less!
I bet the rest of the people in your competition were super pumped over 5lb losses. Thats great! Next week will be better for you :) You've been working sooo hard, and you're damned determined to get there, you're bound to have a great number hit you.
Have a great day tomorrow :)

They say the hardest thing about a morning workout is tying your shoes and walking out the door. I hate morning workouts too but I sure do feel good afterward. I try to focus on that.

So not gonna lie, I lost 0. No gain though! I had a rough week with my eating.. my 1 cheat meal ended up being 3 times this week DOH!.. and Sat was a booze filled night out at a friends party to send her sister off to college. Startin the week off right though and starting to write all of my foods down again. I need to get back into that. I know pretty much the calorie counts in everything by now, but that doesn't mean I'm adding them up in my head all day.. so when I think I only ate 1300, on paper its really 1600. See what Im sayin? :) Well my bed is calling to me for a nap. Hopefully I'll have a better week ahead of me. My goal for the week is 2lbs!

Hey, for having 3 cheat meals and a booze fest, NO gain is amazing! You can get -2 next week fershur :) Have a great day, write down everything and get your workout in! :)

Ok kids! Had an awesome day today. Woke up and popped right out of bed.. this told me it was going to be an good day. ;)

Got my gym clothes on and headed out.
Spent 35 min on the elliptical and then did about 20 min of arm weights.
Changed into my work clothes, relaxed and watched the news for roughly 30 min and had breakfast. Worked 8 hours.. bleh. Busy busy. Then after work went back to the gym and busted my @$$ for 2 HOURS! Sweated buckets. Did 45 min on the elliptical again and then I RAN! I ACTUALLY RAN! I was doing HIIT. I would run at a 6.0 for 30 seconds and then walk at a 3.0 for 60 seconds. Did this for 45 minutes!!!! I couldn't believe it. My face was bright red and hot but I wasn't out of breath like usual. I used to feel like I could never catch my breath after running for even 10 seconds, now im doing HIIT for 45 minutes?! WHAT!?! :) Big accomplishment for me.

But even after my awesome workouts I am letting something drag me down that shouldn't and that would be what the scale is telling me. I know, I know. "Go by how you feel, how your clothes fit" ect ect. But sadly, you kinda cant do that in a weight loss competition. When I stepped on the scale this morning at the gym it read 227. A 2lb GAIN. I have no explination for it. I eat well 95% of the time,(the bad 5% this week being half of a 1/4lb hamburger, 1T (MEASURED!)of spice cake, a small choc chip cookie, and 2 chicken fritters)and counted all of these in my daily calories..I exercise regularly, I only drank once this week which was only 2 drinks...

My weigh in for work is tomorrow. I'm going to work out in the morning again, see if that gets me anywhere. I don't know. Like I wrote on Jess's diary maybe I should tinker with my diet, see where improvements can be made.

Other than all the jazz, im still on a high from my workout, so gonna go shower and get ready to do it all again in the morning. :) Love you all.

Yeah, I sure as hell hope that Monday gives me a decent number! Seems like we work WAY to hard- AND don't eat enough to gain TWO POUNDS, psh- to NOT have a good number.
Way to go on all that working out- holy shiiizzz! I wish I had the willpower to get up in the morning... I think after vacation I *might* put some effort into trying it out. My work schedule is way to effed up to keep up with these 2am workouts. Plus with school starting soon, I'll just screw myself over.
I think I need to tinker with my diet a bit, too. I can't go completely carb free, but something that has worked for me in the past is doing like 2-3 days super low carb. May hafta try it again!
Have a GREAT weigh in tomorrow for work- and hope that everyone else is still going strong too :)

Sorrrrryyyy totally forgot to post! Oopps. I lost -2.8 this past week!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! :) Finally a semi-decent number.

So I'm either totally stupid or really confident... Im thinkin stupid... Today I was talkin to a friend about finding some sort of fitness thing to train for....and starting tomorrow we are going to be training for a 5k! Ahhhh! I'm sooo scared! I JUST started jogging like a week ago! I can barely run more than 30 seconds at a time let alone 3.1 miles in a row!

I downloaded a podcast that has bpm music, and it tells you when to switch from walking to jogging. Its a 10 week long program. As soon as I agreed to do the 5k training, I said we'll we aren't going to train just to train, lets run the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day(the 1st 5k that popped into my head). So thats my race!

She told everyone at work that I'm doing it, I told my trainer at the gym and my mom. So now I have people expecting me to do this and I can't back out. So tomorrow training starts. I must admit Im excited. I kinda hope I become a running junkie. I always see people running and I always think WHY would people want to do that?! Well... I guess I'll find out. :)

Hope you all are having a wonderful week, I'll be back in here soon. Love you all! Time for one of my last nights out (tonight and Oct 2nd) cuz I'm not going to be drinking or eating bad. I'm going to train for this like I'm a true athlete. I'll be back to let you know how Week1Day1 goes!

Awesome loss :) our goals just keep getting closer & closer! Have fun training for a 5k; I admit I've always wanted to be a runner, just can't run. Uugggh. Maybe in a few more lbs I'll try it out :)
Have a great 1st day of training!!

Ok, so update on the weight....
Last Sunday I GAINED .8
This week -2.8! Whoo hoo. My knee hurts really bad from training, but I'm dealing with it. If it gets any worse I get health insurance tomorrow(Tues) so I can actually go get it checked out!! WHOOO HOO!!!!

Yayyy! Thats a great loss :) I didn't weigh in yesterday- with all the driving and stuff I'm not expecting a good one. uggh. Next Monday tho- I'll be weighed in and ready to get a move on! :)

Hey everyone! I can't believe I keep forgetting to post here! I am doing awesome with my Couch 2 5k training. I have been running at 5:30am (tomorrow will be a little earlier due to the fact that I have to work at 6:30). And this morning I finally fully ran the 2 mile loop that my 2 friends and I run without walking once! My shins are killing me but I did it! :)

Past 4 Booty Busters Weigh Ins:
Aug 29th: +.8(227.6)
Sept 5th: -2.8(224.8)
Sept 12th: +.2(225.0)
Sept 19th: -2.4(222.6)

My goal for this week is to get out of the 220's! And I have a goal set that by Christmas to be out of the 200's! Here's for hoping! OH! And I may be losing QUITE slowly(slower than I want to at least), but I have lost 3 inches off of my waist! I really should measure the rest of my body but my waist is the only part I really care about.

I have been so crazy busy lately though. All I do is sleep, train, work, train, sleep. I am determined to do good in this race! Gotta go kids! Need to go launder the workout clothes, they are stinkin up my bathroom! :)

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK EVERYONE!!!!!!

Hello all, just realized I haven't been over here in forever. I post in too many places these days! :)

Just wanted to update everyone, I ran my first 5k on Oct 30th in 43:30 and came in 535th out of 735 runners. Not too horrible, its a starting place and now I can work on my time. I'm at 14 min miles right now and would LOVE to be more around a 10 min mile pace.

So just have to keep training! Still not smoking, losing a little weight, but not much. I'm going to try a new eating plan starting tomorrow... adding more protein in(i am getting almost none right now! eek!) But I'll stop by and let you all know how life is going! Love and miss all of you!
