Hey guys, ok ok Ill try to have less ranting in here. Its just been a couple of tough weeks. I am so having a cheat meal after I weigh in on Monday, I think thats why I might be crabby. I havent had a single fried thing in almost a month and a half and I have just been having the worst craving for Taco Bell.....That and I found out tonight that my main competition in the Biggest Loser thing at work has already lost 6lbs this week and this week is a $50 prize week. Grr, the scale hasn't even budged for me this week at all. It does that though and I dont know how it doesnt move all week and then all of a sudden on Monday ill be down 6lbs or whatever. Makes no sense to me. So tonight I decided to change around my exercises a bit and see if that helps me out at all. Another thing that sucks is that for every pound she loses I pretty much have to lose 1.5-2lbs to keep up %-wise. So to find out that she lost 6 im like I HAVE TO LOSE 12!? ughh lol
ok ok off to watch Greys and then to bed. have a good night all.

Ashley hun, that % thing sucks doesn't it? I have done the same thing with people at work and it once led to some really unhealthy stuff...

Question? at the end of the day this weight loss contest is just an incentive right? A diversion? You are really losing for you and the small pool going on at work is just a side thing. Don't worry about th eside stuff, just focus on what you need to do for you...

Yes of course this is for me, it isn't about the money but thats why I started this club at work....money is a great incentive for anyone, and why not help others while Im trying to change myself? Right?

Well stepped on the scale again and it still hasnt moved from 217 all week, even though I have been working out every day, so I am taking the night off from the gym. Maybe my body needs a rest? Or maybe Im gaining muscle? But I dont know if that is really possible, I do mostly cardio with very little weight lifting right now. Maybe 30 reps for biceps and a few other small things for other parts. Sorry dont know the technical names for what I do, I just do what feels natural. Unless cardio can build muscle? I don know im not a doctor. :) So im hoping to just start fresh tomorrow and hoping for somewhat of a loss this week now. Ive come to terms with the possiblity of not winning the $50. Im only wanting like 2lbs realistically, but I am hoping for 6 so I can reach my 1/4 way goal. :)
 
Ok had weigh in today..... lost 1 lb. Im alittle disappointed after all the time and effort i put into the gym this week but I will not let this get me down. In a month I have lost 14 lbs and I think thats really good. See I like that this is a week to week thing, cuz even though I lost a lb this week I cant sulk about it or anything cuz now a new week is starting and I have to focus on that.
 
Ashley, you lost 14 pounds in a month? That's amazing! The "just" one pound this week is icing on the cake. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You are doing great. :cheers2:
 
Congrats on another lb! Its ONE pound closer to the goal; no matter how small the number may seem, its leading to a bigger picture :D
 
or "smaller picture" that being me looking smaller in pictures haha....yea i am sleep deprived.... that wasnt really funny... been working my ass off at the gym. ive come to realize i want more 14 lb months....if i keep up 14 lb months ill be at my goal in like 5 1/2 months! lol we'll see how that actually goes.... ok just wanted to check in, thanks everyone for commenting. love you all and happy turkey day and black friday if you do that type of thing.

I had been reading but never really wrote in here... 14 pounds in a month is amazing, I am slow loser worked for about 11 months to lose the 25 pounds I have lost, but then I started smaller and it is harder to lose then! Just so you don't set yourself up for failure: not all months will be as good as this one, but you have shown yourself which is the way to do it, so now if you just follow in your own footsteps, you will make it to goal. And hen you look at the 60 years we will live from now on, does it really matter if you are at goal in 5 months or in 10?? That is how I see it. I lost like 8 pounds in my first month and then started losing 4 or so, then 2... but I also started to do less and eat more crap! Important is that you feel comfortable!
Every few months my body will shrink a bit (even without weight loss) and it is really visible that I have lost. I love it, I feel so beautiful for a few days, then get used to it and start seeing the flab again, but it is very motivating. I hope you start seeing a change soon!

Camy, I understand that I wont lose it as quickly later as I am now. The whole goal thing that has been set up for me is just that, its a goal to work towards. I am not at all going to starve myself, or take diuretics or anything to harm my body to reach this. I dont care if it doesnt happen for years. Its just a motivational thing for me. Makes me go "Get your butt in the gym, we have a goal to be working towards." on days when I would rather just be snuggled up in bed reading a book and drinking egg nog. :)

Anyways, didnt eat that bad yesterday, well since I boycotted thanksgiving and all.... I did however drink way too much. I ended up having 3 bud lights and about 4 shots...yea didnt sit well with me, the shots I took and I ended up throwing up(doesnt help it was tequila and rumplimentz). Blah. Bad drunk Ashley, bad. I have to remember that I cant drink like I used to. I pretty much quit drinking and have only been going out once every 2 weeks or so. So when I go out now it takes nothing to get me drunk. I used to be able to do shot after shot and just get a little buzz, guess my tolerence has changed. :)

Ok, gonna try to take a nap before headin back to work, talk to you all later.
 
Oh, Ashley, Ashley, Ashley. Why would you subject yourself to bad alcohol. Please just drink the good stuff. Guinness has 125 calories vs. Bud light which has 115. For the ten calories you can have a real beer that will fill you and taste like beer. Tequila and Rumplemintz? Rumplemintz belongs in hot coco, not tequila. Oh, my, now I will have to drink twice as much to make up for your sins. :biggrinjester:

Doing good so far this week with workouts and food, havent gotten on the scale all week so I dont know how im doing numbers wise, but i think ill test it out tomorrow...I feel better and like i lost something. We'll have to see. Got tomorrow off, I just have to go in to unlock the doors and turn on the heat in the morning. I really hate that, having the day off but of course theres something that just has to be done for you to have to go in. Oh well, I hope I can just go in, talk to my cooks and get em situtated , turn on the heat, weigh myself quick and get out of there.
 
So while I was napping snow has blanketed everything....grr...i hate snow...and by my little weather desk top thing were in a winter storm warning til tomorrow..yippie.

Hopefully Trops, you ddin't make up for all of what Ashley needed to drink to make up for her bud light sins... I took care of some too with some Wachusett IPA (local to my area) and some Patron...
 
Ah, the boozing sounds familiar lol :) I drank maybe a little to much last night (only, I did jeager and rumplemintz mmmm) and today I feel really guilty bout it... *sigh* :rolleyes: 14lbs a month would be amazing! I'm jealous!
 
Jess-Ive always hated rumple but for some reason that night it sounded good.... tastes like mouthwash bleh....Im gonna just stick to my good ole beer and the occasional tequila.

Well went to Walmart tonight to get in some grocery shopping, when I came out I had every intention of going to the gym but driving that way I kept sliding into curbs and almost hit another car.... so I decided driving in this storm would not be good. Im kinda pissed my car doesnt handle better in the snow, there really wasnt much on the road but it was thawing and then refreezing so that wasnt good. It just sucks this is the first real time driving it in the snow(i just bought the car this summer), I live in Wisconsin, it HAS TO MAKE IT IN THE SNOW! I came home and my Carmen Electra DVD helped me out, along with some time on my elliptical. So im hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow...its always scary the night before but Ill of course let you all know how it goes. Have a good night everyone.
