Welcome ChefAshley! I know all about the falling off and trying again, thats exactly what I am doing. It's amazing how easy it is to put on weight and how hard it is to loose it. Heres to a bright future of our healthy and slim selves! Good luck to you!

Well a little bit of a disappointing first week. As of 2 days ago I hopped on the scale early to see if I was getting anywhere this week yet and I was down 2 lbs...water weight I know. And today, my offical weigh in day, I have not lost anything. So I guess its time to hit the workouts harder. I have a friend who has a gym membership and she said she'd actually use hers if i went with her, not that she needs it.

Another thing I have realized is I start to get tempted if I dont bring my own food to work. So sad to say I must go grocery shopping again. I think this time I will buy twice as much, maybe that will last me longer than 5 days.
I also need to get stuff to make actual meals with. Instead of just salads, and english muffin sandwiches and soups. So off to make a list, and tonight will gogrocery shopping for a few hours. I love the grocery store. :)

Oh yea and I bought new sneakers! Needed those so bad, my feet have been killing me.
Oh! And very sad day yesterday with my Colts losing! I live in Packer country so it was pretty bad when my "friends" started giving me crap.

Yay! Went to the gym last night and did 30 minutes on the tredmill doing a hills program and 30 minutes on the stationary bike doing the cardio program. We're supposed to go again tonight and I must say I always am excited to go to the gym for the most part. The only thing I hate is when (like last night AGAIN) someone brings 3-12 of their friends in and all they do is walk around, touch stuff, use equipment incorrectly, or just sit on the couch, all because they are waiting on the tanning bed. They just go one after another on the same card. Can't the owners be like ughh why is card #1 going tanning 14 times a night. Anyway end of rant, have a good day! :)
 
Hey everyone! Just posting a quick update. I realized that in order for me to keep on track this time I needed a little incintive...and I figured other people could benifit from me wanting to lose weight as well. So I started a weight loss group at work. There are 5 people in it and we all put $5 a week in the pot. At the end of each week the person with the most weight loss gets $10. At the each of each month (we are going for 3 months right now) the person with the most weight lost all month gets $50. At the end of the final month the person who lost the most the whole 3 months combined gets the rest of the pot which should be about $110. So good incentive huh?! :)

Other than that, going to the gym is going great, eating is going great and I even went camping the last 3 days and worked out even out in the snowy wilderness. :) Have a good night all. Will be seeing you tomorrow.

p.s. will update my ticker on MON, thats our weigh in day at work.
 
Had a great workout tonight. Went for an hour and a half.
30 min- Walking 3.0 Incline 3.0
30 min- Stationary Bike on Weight Loss Program
30 min- Various Strenght Training Exercises

I have realized that I have no upper body strength what so ever. YET! :) I'll get there some day...
After all that I went back on the tredmill to see how long I could jog for. I'm still only at about 2 minutes going at a 5.5 pace, but that also I am working on. No excuses, just going to try to make it longer and longer. :)

You're definitely on the right track and the weight loss group thing at work is such an amazing idea! It's like a mini-version of The Biggest Loser at work! And besides, who doesn't want extra cash in their pocket? Squee!

You are such an angel and sweetheart! As long as you keep your focus on what you're doing, I know you can do it! Have a great weekend, and Happy Halloween!
 
YAY COLTS WON!

Weigh in day is tomorrow, its our 1st weigh in for my work group so its going to be interesting.

Worked out tonight. Wanted to make it 2 hours but only got an hour and a half in.

30 Bike
30 Weights

My legs were screaming at me the whole time but I pushed through. See you all tomorrow.
 
OMG you sound like your doing amazing! CONGRATS! It's so hard for me to get motivated. Especially sense I don't have any friend around me that are as interested in losing weight as I am that can help push me and vise versa. I do have a ticker, I just can't figure out how to get it put onto my page.

My name is Mylissa, i'm 26, I live in Iowa, I have two of my own children (6 and 3) and I have two step kids (7 and 5), i'm a Medicare Claims Specialist and it is 8 hours of sitting. And that makes things 10 times more hard, I sit and eat peanut m&m's for most of the day and yea, need not say more lol. The first time I went at this, I lost 15 pounds and everyone told me that they could see it. And I was SO excited! Then I could work as hard while I was planning on my wedding, two weeks later and I gained it ALL back!

The worst part is, i'm not a junk food eater. I drink diet pepsi and as much water as I can get around to drinking. My husband has agreed that we will not be eating at fast food places exept for subway. So thats helpfull. But another than that. I don't even know where to start. It just seems so much harder because last time, I started at 205. This time I have 20 extra pounds! I'm just so fustrated with myself. And the worst part, alot of it is muscule. Which is ten times harder to lose!

But I'm sorry to drop alot on you, and thank you so much for putting in the time and effort to read my stuff and reply so much. Its hard to get other people to care and be a friend. So thank you!

Thanks for all the support. But that was only week one lol...got a long ways to go! A little bit of a disappoinment last night, my friend who is going to the gym with me every now and then said her boyfriend wants his gym pass back now so he can go work out. Find it interesting that he never used it til she wanted to go with me... oh well i hope he does go and I hope he loses weight. The gym membership is $35 a month and sadly I cant afford that right now. Money is extremely tight, I bought a new car in July and the payments are just killing me. But I did buy myself an elliptical for at home 2 christmas's ago so I figure I'll just use that for now. I told my mom about him wanting his pass back and shes like well I can pay for a few months and we'll just call it your christmas present but I told her to hold off. I lost over 40 lbs just with my elliptical back then so I told her to let me see how I do on just that for now. She said she had a little stair stepper in her basement her boyfriend was willing to just give to me! Yay. :) ok ok ok got that friend coming over to get that pass and she says she has some juicy gossip for me so see you all soon!
 
WOW! Thats just my first thing off the top of my head, a whole lotta WOW!

I actually do have a fridge at work, and I do plan on getting stuff to start to start making salads. I'm the world's pickiest eater ever! Besides salads, the only veggies I eat is, corn, green beans and peas. Thats seriously about it. and carrots when there not cooked. And it is very hard to eat good cause of my kids and my husband. I'm the only one that really wants to eat health. And all this halloween candy sitting around, kills! lol


I am going grocery shopping tomorrow for protein bars, 100 cal. packs, and things that are okay to eat. And I looked online today at work to try to find some health idea's for dinners that my kids and hopefully my husband will eat. I'm actually doing good with water. I have this water bottle thing at work that I fill up at leasts three times a day and drink. But walking away from diet pepsi is going to be the hardest! Cause, well frankly, I just don't want to! lol

I do have an excersise bike thing that I used to use for 45 mins a night! But I have just lost my excitment to use it I guess. But i'm hoping to get that back soon! I just need to get the effort and excitment back!

That guy sounds super-shady! Anyways, you'll do just fine on your elliptical! As long as you stick to it, which I know you will! Much love!
