If it's important, you'll find a way. If it's not, you'll find an excuse.

Hey everyone!

I'm still here :seeya:

Just been sort of avoiding my journal because I have made no progress... :( infact, my weight has gone up and today's weigh in was 148.4 lbs. The scale hit 150 on Monday after a long weekend of drinking and eating for St. Patty's day!

I am still trying though - I counted calories Monday and Tuesday and have been drinking a ton of water. I went for a run outside on Monday (just 2 miles) and have been riding my bike everywhere I get the chance. This morning I am going on a run with my friend!

I feel crappy about myself but I'm trying my best to hang in there and not let the number on the scale rule me. I just want to be healthy again... and every little step counts. Last night, I was at my friend's house where everyone was drinking and planned on going downtown to the bars - I decided to leave and go home to sleep instead. Normally, I'd go with them... so I was pretty proud that small changes like this are happening. It's better than nothing!!

I will try to keep coming back more... don't think I'm lettin' myself down just yet!! :)

There you go Sarah! Keep your positive attitude. Small changes are so important because they add up to big changes. We all have bumps along the way, but as long as we keep getting back on track we're on our way to becoming healthier. Way to go on the run and avoiding the bar! :)

I am also trying to reverse some weight gain from St. Patty's lol. But we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves, we just have to get back on track. It sounds like you're doing a great job of that - keep it up! :)

Ahhh I am so slacking on this diary! But still doing my best in the diet/exercise world. I started p90x last week, got through three days, but was traveling out of state over the weekend and fell off that wagon. I planned to start again this Monday, but I was busy all day and traveling out of town again, it never happened. However, I've been riding my bike to class and I went for a run yesterday and today, and have another one planned tomorrow. I've been going with friends and it's helping me stay motivated :)

Weigh in Wednesday was not the greatest but the numbers have gone down... today I was 146.6 lbs. Last week I saw 150.2.. so I guess I'm doing something right! Also drinking more water, which has definitely helped me feel less hungry throughout the day.

Sorry for not being around and getting to other journals... I am still keeping the focus, just getting side tracked from the online updates! I hope everyone is working hard and meeting their goals! Little by little.. :)

Awesome job Sarah! 4lbs in a week is great progress! :) I recently started running with my fiance and I enjoy it so much more than running alone. He's really getting into exercise now which makes me so happy. He's even going for runs when I'm at work, it's great. Keep up the good work with your workouts and you'll keep getting results! :)

Hi there! I just happened to come across your blog and noticed that I have a very similar story. For the past 5 years or so i have gone from 177 to 136 and back again give or take a few pounds at least three times (I just turned 29)). I had a baby in 2007, before that I was always around 115-130 at the most. Since having daughter i have mostly I hover around 150. I have lost 37 lbs in the past yr and kept it off, but recently gained back 5 pounds after a very bad 2 weeks diet wise. So I am 143.8 as of this morning, I was 147 on monday (tday is thurs.) and I had been down to 139.2 about four weeks ago. So frustrating right?

I am also 5'4 and I also enjoy drinking a little too much. I find that drinking directly impacts my weight right away in a negative way. If you can, try and be a homebody as much as possible drinking destroys willpower & i always end up over eating when tipsy. If you have to, pick one day per week to go out drinking and only drink clear liquor mixed w diet soda (80 cal per shot). Make sure to be extra careful with calories the day you plan to drink, and get a solid workout in as you may not be up for excersize the following day. Also do not allow a hangover to cause over eating/bad eating, I fall into that trap a lot. My best advice is- don't drink. When I abstain I drop weight way faster, and my stomach trims down very quickly.

I am terrible at sticking to workouts but I have done 30 day shred in the past and i liked it. It was quick, and it really was effective, so i plan to start doing that again today. I am also weighing in every morning (and writing it down), keeping tabs on everything I eat and drinking warm water with lemon every morning.

Ok thats all, if you are interested in comparing notes let me know, I could use a weight loss motivation buddy who is about my size. Good luck, dont give up when you backslide!

Yikes... a few months later and my weight has not budged! I haven't been putting in the effort though :( I wish I could get my motivation back... why is it so hard!?

Anyway... a few updates:

It's summer time!... yay!

I graduated two weeks ago... yay!

I started my internship yesterday... yay!

After almost two years being single, I have a boyfriend... yay!

I am working alot... yay??? :icon_bs:hahah

I signed up at a SNAP 24/7 fitness yesterday so now I can go to the gym whenever I'd like! It's right across the street from my work, so I hope that will make it easier for me to want to go. My weight has been hovering around 150 and sadly I had to put many old jeans and shorts away that I used to be able to wear last summer :(

Attached is a picture I took of myself yesterday... I feel good about the way I look as I am now but there are many improvements I'd like to make... I will try to keep posted here in my diary but you can see I haven't done a very good job keeping up! Hope everyone else is doing good... I'll come back to browse around here later to look for progress and motivation!

I think you look amazing at 150lbs Sarah. I'm just 5lbs heavier than you, but you I can clearly tell our weight proportions are different. A lot of my fat is located in love handles, my thighs, calfs, and upper arms. Ugh! Great job on everything you've accomplished this month. I hope you're able to get on here more, but clearly you are a busy woman!
