a loser of pounds that is!
My names Ryan, i am a 21 year old from the Los Angeles area in beautiful sunny California!
like many here, i have struggled with weight problems for the majority of my whole life. i have been on crazy fad diets and seen my weight drop fast only to put it back on after the diet, i guess where im getting at is, i dont think ive ever been successful at losing weights because i want to have a quick fix and see instant results when we all know diets, or anything worthy of earning through hardwork, takes time.
The true intent of me even joining this site in the first place is to be an example to others. I want people to read my story on here and get hope and realize they can lose weight too. Of course for myself is another reason why i am here. ive always been the heavy kid and i hated it. i want to end that. I want confidence, energy and to be healthy. I want to get in shape so i can be a happy, healthy, active young adult. I am also thinking long term here, in the future when i have a family, i want to be in shape for my kids so i can be healthy and of course play sports with my kids or whatever activities. Im sick of being out of shape. i hate it.
I am 5'10 and a half, at a current weight of 275 with a goal weight of 199, to me being under 200 pounds would be a huge huge feat. i have not been under 200 since high school freshmen year!
I will in the future post before and after pictures, however right now i just need motivations and good words from anyone here! Motivation is important for all of us because we are all here with one comnon goal.
My initial plan of attack is for the first five days to eat only light proteins, which burns fatty tissue by depleting the body's carbohydrate stores, and acts as a natural diuretic. I also will be taking B12 supplements every morning as they help promote energy in the body and help with metabolism, i highly recommend them. I will also be walking/running as 90 minutes a day, daily. i am serious about losing weight, i am here to get work done and bring hope to those who think being overweight is permanent and a healthy lifestyle is impossible!
Lets get on it! Day one 10/31/2011!
