i want to be 100% about stretch marks - GROWTH or SHRINKAGE?

i am worried about stretch marks because I have some. So now I want to be one hundred percent sure. When you have stretch marks, that means muscle GROWTH or muscle SHRINKAGE? and these stretch marks are kinda red, not the white ones i see a lot of people have. THANKS!

red means they're new! and yup, it means growth(hopefully muscle!!)

Yup.. I got some on my biceps (from muscle gain - yippi), back (not sure why... Appeared after working out - but not sure how much muscle is there), and my gut (from fat :-(, but they're going away), and I got some on my chest... So yes it's life, you'll get them, everybody gets them, it's because of growth (either fat or muscle) and they do go away. There are some creams to help out, and a light tan will cover them up well too.

stretch marks on stomach go away? yayy
Sorry to say this but Stretch marks are with you for life. although over time they turn to the color of the rest of your skin so they are harder to see. and yes a tan helps hide them. cocoa butter helps also (the pregnant woman cream) I also have some on ym biceps and kind of armpit area of the chest. Dont dread though. they are like battle scars they show a time when your muscles burst out . :D

Stretch marks rule! I worked with a juice monkey while bouncing and he had huge red stretch marks around his armpit/pec area, that was alittle too much imo. Not implying that you're on juice Wolvie, I'm just running my mouth.

hahaha. panman79, ill take it as a compliment. ill pretend you were comparing me to a bouncer on juice. mwa ha ha ha

but wait, is that a good thing? Only time will tell...

no. what the best way to do is to write down your muscle measurements. For example, wake up in the morning, measure your muscles. then in a month or two measure again. gnc sells accurate, good measuring tapes. so then you can see a 39 inch chest turning into a 42.5 inch chest.

you can make a lot of muscle gain without stretch marks. I think most people would prefer muscle growth without stretch marks. I do, thats why I'm happy I don't have that much on me.

cause i dont have any. and i havent really gotten bigger. but ive actually just started working out hard. ive dicked around with my weight set for a few months, doing 20 reps to "tone up". punch myself in the face.

Some hardly get any marks, but their appearance is a sure sign of sudden growth in the first years of training or in combination with 'roids. Genetics re: skin elasticity and the rate of growth are determinants. The only obvious ones are in front between the armpits and chest.

The only truly reliable way I've seen to get rid of stretch marks is with laser surgery, and the only doctors I know of who provide such treatments are in L.A.

A friend of mine flew down there a few times to get his zapped off, and it worked fine for him. I don't know how much it cost, but I bet is was damn pricey.
