In The End~

So Hello Everyone,
Today is 1-03-05 the third week or training and weightloss. I started at 293 now at 270. Today I have eated a small bowl of Granola Natuaral Cereal, a Bananna, 3 hours laters a small bag of baby carrots, 3 Hours Later a 6' turkey sub from subway. 4 bottles of water so far and i started at 7:30 this morning. In 2 hours i will eat another small bag of carrots. Then work out for an hour playing basketball. I will go back to work from 5-9 then go work out again. Man today is gonna be a long day. I have already been complimented on how I am looking on my weight loss so something is working. Thanks for this place its a great motivator. I bought a New MP3 player today and I think that will make my work outs more intense :puke:. Hopefully today i will throw up from how hard i work. Thats when I now I am working out hard enough. My bestfriend is a 6' 2" 180 lbs. guy and joined the gym with me so I have to try to keep up with him lol. Its making me work harder than i thought i would. Anyway leave a note or w/e it is on any advice about what I should do.

Carrots are good. People complain that they are sugary, but you have to eat 1 pound of them to get what, 16g of sugar (and 16g of fiber). I'm a big carrot fan.

I think you may be making a mistake in thinking that you need to throw up to have a good workout. Throwing up is never good for your system unless you are throwing up poisons (alcohol). Working out to the point of throwing up could also cause heat stroke (a guess) because you're going to have a heart rate that is way too high. I think it is OK to hurl every now and then, but not as a regular course.

I think it's great that you are working out with someone who is fit and in shape, but you are setting yourself up for failure if you think you will keep pace with him from the get go. You're running around with 90 pounds more weight than he has. So you're out of shape and spotting him two-45 pound weights in this "contest"... It's OK to have the goal, but I think you will burnout if you want to immediately keep pace.

1-4-07

here are my stats I dont think i added them on my first day.

5 foot 9 inch tall
293 pounds (when i started)
Age: 24
Smoker (Trying to quit but i just quit Soda so the head aches are killing me)

Yesterday I worked out for an hour and a half. The Basketball court was full so i didn't feel like I got as good as a workout as i wanted. So today I have eaten 2 bannanas, and ate a Jack Daniels Chicken and vegitable meal at TGIF. It was great I have a very large blister on my left foot but i think i can work thru it. We will see tonight. Until I talk to you guys again later. Oh and by the way we still have not gotten after it in the gym we are working towards that gradually. We will be at the OMG I AM GOING TO PUKE point in about a month.

SO my knees and my ankles are killing me. 3 and a half hours of Basketball hurts the next day. Anyone have any advice on ways to make my joints stop hurting so much. Today i have eaten Tunafish and a bananna. a total of 400 calories. I am going to hit the gym hard today. Gonna do alot of weights and even more basketball.

If your joints are hurting from running around -make sure your shoes you're wearing are fitting you properly... (you can go to a running store and get propely fitted for shoes )if you're pounding yourself too hard -then take it easy for a while... it's not a race to the finish youo want to get to the fnish line in one piece
