i need to get up

I FINALLY did it! I got off my butt and walked the dog, and he dragged my fat butt up all those hills! So check this out, I bought the "Tony Little Gazelle" in early October and thought I would lose 25 lbs. by Jan 1st but I have only used that thing around 6-7 times in over 3 months. I can stay on the Gazelle for 30min- 1 hour and not really feel ANY burn, I just get off because I'm bored! If I walk my dog for 15min-30 min, my butt and thighs are ON FIRE! What's up with that?
:hurray: I think the hardest part for me is actually just getting off the couch!

What's up with that is the Tony Little Gazelle is a piece of garbage. Doesn't even make a decent coat rack.

Good work. :D I have that same dynamic going. The hardest part of anything, for me, is always getting started. Once I do, I'm a rockstar, but some days I can think of a million different reasons why I should be doing something else.

LOL, the other day when Allyphoe wrote "Go do it now, pace the kitchen..."
I just thought, 'I CAN'T go exercise NOW, Ugly Betty is on!' Then I had a beer. I suck.

I am the SAME WAY. I set a goal for myself to just do some sort of activity for two hours each week, and most weeks that's stretching it.

To hold myself accountable, though, I drew two little check mark boxes in my planner every single week. that way, when I get to sunday if both boxes are empty, I better walk the dog and hit the ellipitical. I can't stand to have those boxes empty!

LOL. OK, pace somewhere you can watch the TV from.

The other day, I left for class at 6:15am, and got home at 9pm. We have a morning break, and afternoon break, and lunch break at class. On those three breaks, in addition to peeing, eating, and returning phone calls, I also walked more than 3 miles back and forth through the halls of the building class was in.

If it's important to you to exercise, you'll find a way to do it. But no one can make exercising important to you, but you.
